I'm about 100 episodes into this one after about 6 months of listening off and on (long rides and home renovation projects). Very cool. Witty and somewhat off hand with great content.

Thanks. Just dived into the podcast world now that I'm driving 4 hours back and forth to slopes. Mark Moran's WTF is fun, and always loved The Moth when I had a chance to hear it on the weekends, now I have it downloaded to my phone. Cool. Just yesterday heard a guy tell a story about how he lived right next door to the fugitive Whitey Bulger, was his apartment manager, and helped the FBI get him and the lady, all the while making a concert that night he thought he was going to miss. Cool.
I'm using the Castbox app on Android. So far, so good.
So far LaBatard, though I listen live ESPN radio, and The Daily from the NYT. Looking for more, particuarly on current events, with a "center" view. Which I understand NYT probably isnt.
Hall of Fame
listened to a lot of it last night
better to watch
A++
this was an EXCELLENT episode of Citations Needed https://soundcloud.com/citationsneed...issident-media
You are Not So Smart -- a podcasts on self delusions pairs nicely with podcasts about avy/backcountry travel.

Really getting into this podcast. James Franco was excellent, and Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo fame was fascinating.
Sent from my SM-G900V using TGR Forums mobile app
Looks like the Utah Avalanche Center just started up their own podcast- hopefully some good stuff even for those who are not utarded. https://utahavalanchecenter.org/blog/33854
^ I thought it was pretty decent for the target audience. a little heavy handed at first but the second half was good.
Lots of good suggestion here already.
If you want some lawls
'My Brother My Brother and Me' is great.
Our dumb podcast
Thee podcast
American Rugby Podcast
Dan Carlin- for those really long drives.
Neil deGrasse Tyson....
some others I'm forgetting.
If you like business crap. Barry Ritholtz,

Rappaport though kind of low brow is funny.
Al Jourgensen sounds like Dennis Hopper.

Gilbert Gottfried Amazing Collossall Podcast, really well researched show, fun guests for anyone that grew up with '50's -'80's tv & movies.
Kickass News, sorta like Fresh Air but with less presumptions and more jokes.
Tangentially Speaking w/ Duncan Trusell, guy on the road talking to people he meets.
Other than Covert, anyone started a podcast? Now's your chance to humblebrag...
I just recently listened to Serial.... there is another one called Undisclosed that is based on the same case, but done by some lawyers. It is not related to Serial in terms of people and production, but they pick up the case and dive much deeper - and they tell you to listen to Serial first because they reference things from that podcast. One of the attorneys was a friend of Adnan / his family. Also, in March of this year, Adnan was granted a new trial (because of things raised in these podcasts actually - ineffective counsel I guess). Very interesting. Not sure when that new trial is scheduled.
I also really liked Crimetown (based on suggestion from earlier in the thread).
Not a podcast, but a Netflix series (docu-series)I just watched was The Keepers - also really good. Interestingly also out of Baltimore - what a corrupt place [emoji33]
If you liked that, then check out Shittown. Or S*** Town. nvm, it is just S Town but that is what the S stands for. It's good, but I don't know how I feel about the end. Still processing.

Since goldenboy apparently won't humblebrag, I'll do it for him. His new podcast is called "Crested Butte is Home"
http://crestedbutterealestateagent.c...butte-is-home/
I haven't listened to it yet but he's an entertaining dude IRL so I imagine it's pretty good.
For you other contractor-types (and those interested in construction talk) the Fine Homebuilding podcast is a good one.
Marty and McGee on ESPN LOVE McGee. Marty notsomuch. if you're a redneck or from the south pretty funny. otherwise probably not. ymmv
Star Talk!
probably the funniest one I've found https://soundcloud.com/ykspod
Bill Burr is still the king of the podcast, IMHO
Thanks man! I was hoping someone would chime in on my previous post so I'd have someone to ask a tech question or two if I needed to. Oh well. I think I have it figured out and I'm pretty happy with it so far though. Give it a listen and let me know what you think, I guess the genre is mountain town living or some crap like that, I've interviewed:
1 bikepacker
2 structural engineer/ old car enthusiast
3 director of crested butte mountain bike association
4 pastry chef
5 forensic carpenter
6 fly fishing convention organizer
7 shed hunter
Stoked for tomorrow's interviews- the brewmaster at Irwin Brewing and an IFMGA guide...
I just got hooked on Bundyville, about the Bundy family that had standoffs with the Feds in Nevada and Oregon. Really good if you're at all interested in public lands, right wing viewpoints on the Feds management of public lands, and a bit of Mormon ideology thrown in as well.
I'll have to check that out! Def would be interested.
Also wanted to plug my boy (and occasional TGR contributor) Paddy O'Connell's new podcast, Safety Third: http://www.safetythirdpodcast.com/
Awesome cast dealing with real-life topics in the outdoor world, like dealing with death, deciding when what you're pursuing is too dangerous, and even marriage. Really enjoyed it!
Not sure if these have been covered, but a few sweet fiction podcasts:
Homecoming
Limetown
Lifeafter
Fiction podcasts play like old radio dramas with modern production values- pretty damn cool. I HIGHLY recommend 'Homecoming,' the voice talents include Katherine Keener, Oscar Isaac, Amy Sedaris, David Cross and a surprisingly, awesomely villainous David Schwimmer.
Enormocast although I think it's losing its steam.
Cocaine and Rhinestones
Your Favorite Band Sucks
Both are by Tyler Mahan Coe and are totally different but very enjoyable for different reasons.
The perfect podcast for you dentists;
“My Dad Wrote a Porno”
The guys Dad really did write a porno. He and his two friends take a chapter each week and dissect it. It’s about the funniest thing I’ve ever heard, and my commute just got a lot more interesting.
