Haha, yes. Waited a solid 35, hit the hot tub, then swam in the pool for 5 minutes before a group of 12-14 woman, between 20-30 years old, all above 200-250lbs + ( NTTAWWT) descended upon the pool and hot tub. Like nothing I've ever seen. Even my kids knew it was time to go.
I'm sorry i didn't get pics
subpar weather forecasted in eastern WA, but a healthy amount of staring at the dock I should probably be working on.

After my weekend with mom n dad, leading a small group to a snow patch on Carson Pass to make some September turns, for month #83.
So many options and not enough time. Today I have a quick task for work, but the drive to the site takes me by National Forest, so maybe a hike after I finish. Or a friend has a Summer Lake House that is not far, maybe give them a call and see what is up with them and stop for a visit.
Golf- maybe try and get out tomorrow afternoon for a short round of 9, then off to help with preparations on a local homeless dinner.
Monday is a Bike Tour- 100km for a charity benefit. Probably will need a nap after since can't sleep in, then maybe work around the house getting grass cut and a few projects on the list.

Joined the neighbours on a little hike up in Wells Gray, and then a nice meal with them afterwards. Our little ladies are 3 mo apart and they had a blast on the outing, and the 'party' after.
The rest of the weekend will include a trip to the nearest city, maybe the rodeo/fall fair that's between us and the big smoke, and if the weather turns, some garden work. Little one is not in public school until next year, so we revel in the simplicity.
So far -
Ride MTBs with friends (leaving in about an hour for another)
Piss off daughter and wife to point they aren't speaking to me
Make canna oil (from Girl Scout Cookies)
Make brownies
Eat brownies
Nap
This PM and tomorrow I dig out/assemble/check/repair a bunch of equipment for local music festival coming next weekend
This whole Hermine storm is bust, as far as raging weather. In fact it's sunny and the surf's up. But maybe the fickle bitch will double back, so she can get the last laugh.
Today I've got my Sister's wedding in paradise valley Montana. Chico hotsprings and Jellystone park tomorrow
That's funny. That puts you a couple hours from me.
No, don't bother. Have a good time and maybe think of me once or twice when it's quiet.
I have been painting the inside of our home for weeks now and I am almost done. Just did the last rear hallway, then the little bathroom tomorrow and I is finished for another 10 years.
Had the hardwood floors refinished first. The pad looks fuckin tits these days.
I luv how a fresh coat of paint makes things look great.
Beaver Creek Oktoberfest was awesome

Letting my FIL take us out to dinner at a newish local brewery for my 50th birthday tonight.
Gettin into the mountains via internal combustion.
We're lying low and waiting for the valley folks to leave.
I'm in Lavallette, NJ - drove up here to help my MiL tuck in for TS Hermine possibly fucking her world up again (Sandy nearly erased her house from the map) but everything turned out pretty copacetic. Unfortunately State laws mean that if the beaches are designated "Closed" you cannot go in the water regardless of if the guards are out or not. Some beautiful waves coming in, but no go.
Made some Chile Verde last night since it was too windy to grill, and tonight we had some decent sushi. Heading home tomorrow around noon.
Nice sunset tonight tho:

The more I learn about NJ beaches the more I'm convinced I don't need to visit them.
Nothing personal mind you, most of my beta is from this site re: garden state beach rules.
Spent yesterday visiting an old friend in the hospital who to say the least, has had a rough year. He's only 59. A stroke, breakup, and now cancer. Huge mass. All in 6 months.
Today was 5 hours of making pickles and watching and waiting for the temple burn, than a couple hours of making Swedish meatballs.
Balance.
Still waiting for Hermine up here. Doesn't look like it'll be much of at this point, just windy and grey, but the weather clowns keep yammering on TV. Some decent surf out there yesterday afternoon. Beaches closed here too but that pretty much just means no lifeguards.
No, Jersey beaches are the best

La Jolla shores
That's what happens when a hurricane doesn't make landfall in FL for 11 years. (thanks a lot Al Gore) The climate terrorists on the weather channel are pretty pent up and have a lot of fear mongering to get out.
Nothing more than a strong long shower across GA and the low country of SC. Pretty sure there was stronger wind after a night at the local Mexican place.
Great weekend! Started Friday eve when the wife and I had the house to ourselves. Got busy then went down town for cocktails. Terrorized the town with kids n wife on our bikes Saturday. Sent the kids to sleepovers with friends that eve while the wife and I went on a deer scouting/hunting drive down south. Saw several deer, let the dog flush a big covey of quail then finished it off acting like high schoolers by gettin it on in the woods to the sunset. Did a little yard work Sunday then went to a local park where we met up with some other parents and their kids and had a last day of summer party. Played volley ball, corn hole, skated and drank. Followed that up with a night at Spokane comedy club with some friends and fucking laughed our faces off.
Chilling at the house today putting the final preparations on my gear for elk hunting this weekend.
Roof top sendoff of our former town manager (center has taken the position in Crested Butte) after paddling Browns Canyon. Followed by hiking all over the mining claim I'm buying with GPS locating corners (looking for the perfect ski hut site) then went 500' back into the mine. Finished off with beers in St Elmo at a friends cabin. Working today (time and a half and obviously not busy).
