And then there were 26.
In. PM sent. Just to keep it fair from all the litigators that is. :D
I'll pass but good luck to all y'all. Couple points...
1. The jackpot odds are 292M, and since a ticket is $2 I don't see why a jackpot lower than $600M generates all this hype.
2. Annuitizing the jackpot further weakens its value.
3. The concept of pooling yer money with a group, well, if everybody everywhere could pool everybody's money together, you're guaranteed of losing half cuz I believe half goes to school boards or something.
4. Never play Quick Pick. The computer only gives out combos that have already been played. That increases the likelihood of unplayed combos which increases the likelihood of no winner which increases the jackpot next time which gives the Lottery Commission free hype (free advertising). Bottom Line: you're just as likely to win with a Quick Pick ticket but there will be multiple winning tickets so you won't win as much.
5. When I win I'll hire somebody to write non-pedantic posts.
Did we win?
Do I have to go to work today?
Got it, powpig. You too, bags.
I've been thinking about how the photo of the winners with the big check will look. Maybe a bunch of laptops and cell phones sitting in front of the check.
Definitely wearing a TGR hat and "I own Magic" shirt.
It's the least we can do.
Here's an idea?

But one man in Georgia has gone down a unique path that involved neither squandering on toys or success in the stock market. Instead, Ronnie Music Jr. took his $3 million dollar check from the Georgia Lottery and decided to invest in methamphetamine, federal prosecutors say. In terms of an investment, the New York Times called his business “thriving,” but after being caught with over $1 million worth of guns, drugs, and vehicles, Mr. Music is now facing amused contempt and jail time from justice department.
“Defendant Music decided to test his luck by sinking millions of dollars of lottery winnings into the purchase and sale of crystal meth,” US Attorney Ed Tarver said in a statement. “As a result of his unsound investment strategy, Music now faces decades in a federal prison.”
That's not how any of this works.

"WHICH HAS THE BETTER CHANCE OF WINNING: COMPUTER PICKS OR PLAYER PICKS?
About 70% to 80% of purchases are computer picks. About 70% to80% of winners are computer picks. Perhaps just one of those weird coincidences?"
