Long story
- below is our official shipping and handling policy. Here's the full scoop. It actually costs TGR more to ship this stuff than we charge you. There's a charge for order processing, pulling each item from the warehouse, and the packing material. On average, this adds up to about double our actual handling charges. Same thing with shipping - the US Post office and UPS charge us more than we charge you.
We've tried to make this a little better by lowering the price of shipping on orders over $50. As we continue to make improvements to our system and squeeze out costs we'll pass any savings on to you.
Shipping Policy
Orders ship next business day if entered by 2:59pm Pacific.
Shipping and Handling charges are as follows:
Handling
- $1 per item
USPS Priority Mail
- $0 for orders over $50
- $4.50 for orders under $50.
UPS 2 Day
- $6 for orders over $50
- $12 for orders under $50.
UPS Priority Overnight
- $12 for orders over $50
- $21 for orders under $50.
If this truely is the case, then you are doing it all wrong IMHO. With UPS, we actually make money on all orders (manufacturing company) If the volume is there, UPS should be giving you a discount (can be up to 60% off published price, i.e. what you would pay if you sent it thru UPS.com) and then you charge the customer the regular price.Quote:

Now, the USPS is a whole different story.
Just lending a bit of my 2 cents from what I have seen here for 2 years.
"Handling" is a stupid term also IMHO. They should call it "box" fee and "pay the hired help fee to pull your damn item(s) fee". ;)

Bring it on!
Kinda thought that might be the response.Quote:

so i take it that stickers when purchased in multiples are considered separate items. it seems kinda funny to pay double the price of the sticker for a handling fee. $.50 for the sticker and a buck per sticker to stuff it in an envelope. is this an oversite on the checkout software?
It's not an oversight - there are many different ways we could structure our handling charges. Each one has it's advantages and disadvantages. The way we've got it set up now, we eat most of the handling charges for the most common order type (single dvd). We're working on ways to improve the system and we'll make updates to our shipping and handling policies as they are implemented.Quote:

I totally understand and accept the $1 per item handling fee.
But stickers are whacked and facked!!
$1 handling on a 50 cent sticker?
OK, fine, but why no multiples discount?
I was gonna throw a few stickers in with my order, but not at $1.50 each
Stickers should be one handling fee, even if the dude has to count to 3, 5, or 20.
At the very least, why not create a new sku for a 5 pack or 10 pack of stickers which will then have only one $1 handling fee??
After all, you want us to plaster these things all over the world. That's cheap advertising for you.
Please let me know soon (hopefully by Sunday when I place my order) so I can know if I should order 10 stickers or not?
We've got a solution - $5 cap on handling charges. Should be implemented by tomorrow morning. Keeps you from paying too much and gets TGR to a place where we won't lose money on an order even if you just buy 5 stickers.
I'll post a confirm when the change goes live.
What about shipping overseas (Norway)?
And what about sizes for tees? I am 5.11 sort of normal build. Often times I am in between medium and large; are the tees big or small for their sizes?
I'd love one of those tees, and maybe I should add something to my shopping cart in order to bring the shipping costs down...
in the meantime what i wanted to buy is now sold out. oh well.Quote:
We've got a solution
If you're buying videos for overseas, the best thing to do is visit our EU partner at www.tetongravityeurope.com. We're working on getting clothing available there as well. Right now our US webstore only allows domestic and Canadian shipping.Quote:
