Go with the kendo if you liked the old mantra. Rocks on ice.

Ullrfest may deliver some frozen precip in S. VT?
Nice to see another ECRC up and running. Sad that I won't be making any turns this year due to being 4 weeks removed from ACL reconstruction.
I got credit for the family's season passes at Killington so the plan is to still make trips to VT (gotta keep the family skiing) but spread them out to other mountains... Especially Sugarbush and Magic. I'll shout out here when we do.

Nice work!
Woodbox got buffed today, and a bit wider. Frigging rained every minute of the work day!
Couldn't make it to Ullr either, I know I'm missing out right now.
Thanks for starting the new thread up, VTF. Thought it might be appropriate to get a few pics of you up here.

Hope everyone has an awesome and stoke filled winter.
Do you have any good pictures of VT-F?
43 in the valley. 39 up on the hill. Breeze is rather warm this morning. ..Soon grasshopper...Mrs. and I ironed some old skins last night--fresh as a new sheet at the Gut (3-0 btw, Go Cats Go!) and we saved some coin! ML, I like the framing with the birch in the confier stand, very Vermonter.
Question for the Mtb guys, Does anybody remove Stans for the winter? I've found that once that shit dries, forget about it. I'm thinking of wiping it clean while it's still liquid and then starting fresh in the spring, although it'll still be a few more weeks anyway.
Bummer. Good for you keeping the family coming up. Best of luck with the rehab.
Thanks NoPostholio for the reminder, I have some pruning I need to get to.
Great shots of Vt-Freheel there ml242.
Saw higher in Portland last night and thought of the crew watching it up at Magic. Hope the heads are relatively in tact this am. Great ski movie. Jeremy created a compelling story line. Recommend the movie when it comes out on itunes or dvd as a holiday gift.
Here is to one helluva 2014-15 season! Super stoked! More later.
Today it snowed a bit, before Noon, while we were stacking wood up in eastern Warren. Northfiled Ridge showed a frosting...nothing for sliding, but nice to see.
Thanks ML, successful UllRfest provided us with some snow. 36.1` bob, 33` down in the valley.

Good times indeed...TGR went over the top this year. In addition to the free swag that was so generously donated, they also surprised us with a guest. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Sage Cattabriga graced us with his presence. Attachment 159190
Yikes. We got everything cleared out of Sandy, except for the left side of the first island.

'Ok he's in the eddy. Signal for the next paddler to go. Wait, when did he start swimming! At least the GoPro is out of the water'
http://alexkerney.com/wp-content/upl...8_DSCN0936.jpg
There's one sieve to really worry about on the run, and I've already chased the same guy past it after he ignored the scouting eddy and swam above the entrance to the rapid....
Apparently all anyone heard as I blew past them chasing him was 'shit, shit, shit'. I cannot remember saying anything, just that it's the smoothest line I've ever had through Cat and Mouse.

You guys are nuts but I can feel the stoke. Thanks for posting the pics.
Moved to ctrl VT, work 15 miles east of Magic, bought a Killington Pass. Will be splitboard touring and tramping around the UV on a fishscale set up. Will also be drinking beers at Long Trail on the regular and hitting the N Greens every so often.
Snowbowlers, Stowelerbladers and JayPeakbaggers beware.
Anyone know where I can get a beer ball of Topper or a suitcase of Edward cans this winter?
It sleeted briefly at the base of Magic at around 5pm. As we drove toward Manchester, Stratton showed a visible frosting for the top 3-400 vert.
Ullr must have been pleased with the shenanigans that went on at Magic last night.
Let gravity take me downhill with skis on my feet and snow on the ground today

^^^ Very, very, very nice! It looks as though Ullr was pleased!
That redefines the minimum amount of snow necessary to ski on.
Way to get it done and it does seem Ullr was pleased. Thanks all who made the sacrifice.
nice 'wolf' theme, GP.
is that your buddy Christian on skis, backseat driving?
it begins!
Looking forward to a great winter. My wife and I have passes at magic and will be at Killington some too. We have a 5 mo son to car train. I might be the guy watching him in the lodge with a crockpot while my wife is skiing.
Any base damage or setting up nicely?
Not Christian. Was with ranger jake. Glad you spotted that wolf. Craigslist steal that's a total win
Skiing? Who said skiing? ;)
The skis are delamed. Recovered from the bin destined for the dumpster. Any more Schusses are gravy for them.
Ready for a real snow now!!
14 degrees with a windchill of -13 on MTW.
Strong effort, GP! Way to beat the hordes for first tracks on another season opener.
After downing insane amounts of pig and seeing white peaks on the ride home, I am seriously ready for the human gates at K.
Good to see those October turns and first turns as soon as page 3!
Ready for the season.
Heres a model screenshot to get you excited, but will probably definitely not happen.
Another season is apparently here! Nice job, Greg!
I hope ULLR loves p-tex, cuz an awful lot of it gets sacrificed in his name.
