Chet, the good news is the blue wings have them looking up so dries are highly likely. 10 days could be pushing close to the high water flows though.... I haven't heard any dates rom the BLM yet on releases you met check before heading over.Quote:

It totally depends on a spawning sucker fish ( I can't remember it's name) typically it is late May when the start dumping. Usually last about 2 weeks. Streamer fishing can be off the hook (pun intended), get fish out of their normal holes and seems to make them tense and aggressive!Quote:

There is some kind of agreement where the Flaming Gorge flows have to match the flow (or a percentage of it) coming from the Yampa. When the Yampa spikes, they are obligated to bump the Green. And as the Yampa is basically not regulated the timing is anyones guess?Quote:

Yep, it is based on coordinating the high flows in both river, a big part of it(not sure it is all of it) is to maximize the benefits of the spawning squawfish.Quote:

My Dad was up in VT for his spring trip. At 73, he's a machine. Love fishin with my Dad, and now my son. Slow fishing here in VT, late spring but we managed a few.

Damn! That's not a small brown
Week on the upper Delaware got off to a good start this evening, netted a healthy 18" brown.
Caddis were coming off in clouds with Hendricksons mixed in. Winds are going to be the suck tomorrow though.
I'll be slinging a line around the Summerfest grounds next month. Probably a day looking for smallies in Sturgeon Bay too. Happy to share my beer cooler if you have any advice. I'm a little rusty. Only out once or twice a year there.Quote:
