First off, Cliff, you are an idioit.
Huskies are bred to to pull something. It's in there genetic code, they want to do it and will do it until they kill themselves. It is the human in charge of the dogs duty to make sure that they do not kill themselves in the process.

I had 2 huskies (both of which lived more than 12 years) that would drag me around whenever I tried to walk them until one day I got the brilliant idea to hitch them up to Red Flyer wagon and let them pull me. Talk about a scary ride. They absolutely loved it and would go nuts anytime the wagon came out of the basement. I do think that they would have run themselves into heat stroke if I hadn't limited the length of the excursions.

Go back to writing your book and STFU.

Nice. That must be a lot of fun with your dogs.
Now I only do regular dog training here and there, mainly to help out with problem dogs. Mainly, I rehabilitated violent dogs. The 'worst' kind - dogs with police records, feral dogs, etc. Only one at a time. They come and live with me - and, once they are ready, sleep with me every night, too.

OK - you are admitting your dogs would have run themselves into heat-stroke if you'd let them, so we agree on that.

You say the human is in charge of the dogs' health. Agree again.

You said that stuff about genetics. Genetics are not your strong suit, but I get your point - huskies pull.

So, what do we disagree on?!

I can only assume it is this: you think the humans crossing the 1,150 mile course to win the prize money will put the health of their dogs first, and I do not.

Sorry to hear about your dogs - the wagon sounds fun as hell.
