If anyone ever wants to meet up during the week, let me know. I typically ride stuff anywhere from Golden up to Ft. Collins, and occasionally Buff Creek.

Anyone been out at Hall Ranch in the last 24 hours? Was thinking of going out today around 3pm to take advantage of the clear skies, but I'm seeing conflicting information on trail conditions (BMA site is showing Hall as poor condition with mud/standing water as of this morning, but Redstone Cyclery tweeted "Perfect dirt at Hall Ranch right now" as of last night).
I'd believe Redstone over the BMA website, those guys sit right at the base of it and ride it all the damn time.Quote:

Interesting, I ride further South and don't ride there enough to have gotten the notion they were actually ranches previously. Then again I've been up Falcon hundreds of times and still not sure what the story about the summer white house is all about...

Everything around here was a ranch at some point, we also have Walker Ranch and Joder Ranch and at least a couple more.

I had some Southwest travel funds that needed to be used by end of June, so got a flight to Denver and reserved a Trail Pistol demo bike for June 15-17. Pick up bike around noon on Saturday 15th. Trailforks isn't working for me today, but looking at other posts and mtb project...thinking rides like these below...
Saturday: Staunton State Park loop: 20 miles & 2.7k.

Suggestions or edits? I had thought about going to Breckenridge, but looks snowy/muddy.
Also, is it easy to find camping near Buffalo Creek or Staunton Park(don't need a campground, but don't want to get ran off at 2 am)? If not, looks like closest affordable hotel is Littleton. Any good dinner suggestions nearby both areas?
What type of riding do you like? Buff Creek/Staunton are a very different kind of riding than White Ranch/LHOHV.
^^^Like all kinds of riding. Wanting to do a long cross country day, day with some tec, some scenery is nice too.
