I'm guessing they had too many water bottles mounted and it was twisting the frame out of alignment.

Someone on MTBR tried to start an internet fight with me over the presence of a 1 mm washer. It’s too stupid to even attempt to explain.

More GOLD from MTBR, they are truly modern day alchemists.

News flash: 2.3" is the sweet spot for all sizes of mountain bike tires.
I will agree that there's lot's of stupid shit on MTBR...but take a few minutes and scroll the first couple pages of this thread:

Threads like this one are the reason I still spend time over there.
Yeah but there's only Mike and maybe 5 other people that post anything even resembling stoke on MTBR these days. I've found some good info on rides from time to time but it's getting pretty sparse.
Is it really any different here?
Some ridiculous posts and statements can be found in the mtbr singlespeed forum. Lots of chest-thumping.
Come on, people e-bragging on MTBR? You crazy.

75 posts, they can't figure out if and insist the guy can't fit an old style saint or hone rear derailleur:

Answer is yes he can. Even on a 10mm non through axle bolt on hub.

First of all, you can certainly true that and make it rideable.
Secondly, you can de-tension all the spokes, bend the rim back into shape, and then re-tension it and true it, it will be almost as good as new.
Thirdly, good luck getting the driver that hit you to pay for a new wheel.
I thought the water bottle cage was for bear spray?
No: firearms to defend against wolves.

I don't mind the yellow.
I may register for MTBR just to let them all know that red is obviously the fastest color.
Major themes on MTBR:
Hardtail 29ers
Chunk
Giardia
It happened at the "WARNING" text. What did he expect, something good to come out of that spot? Um, warning brah, air might leak out here!
Buncha fat guys spotted
But for real 20psi in a 2.35 XC-ish tire seems reasonable
If you put sealant in a tire, and your symptom is that nothing but air is coming out, you haven't quite figured out the "system" yet!!!!
I used to think MTBR was the worst, but now I'm in the Front Range Mountain Biking Facebook Group. Holy Fuck! It's like excitable middle aged nerds who don't know about MTBR yet!!!!
There's a Coastside Mountain Bikers Strava & Facebook group for people around HMB/Pacifica. The founder of the Facebook version decided to make it open, so a bunch of hikers & dog walkers joined it for some reason. When one of my buddies posted a GoPro vid of him hauling ass down the local (very intermediate) trail, the founder deleted it because he said "it makes bikers look bad" and suggested that he should post videos like another guy in it (who's a crap rider but GoPros everything including himself riding his Bronson on flat paved trails). Fucking Bay Area...
I can see Green Mountain from my cubie, and it looks muddy.
