As far as CO2, China just recently passed US as #1 emitter. We are still #2. So your stats are 100% wrong.

In addition, it is incorrect to say that there isn't enough CO2 on Earth to affect the atmosphere. The entire problem is because by burning fossil fuels, etc. we are increasing amount of CO2 above the Earth's (read: plants) ability to naturally take CO2 out of the atmosphere.

We also trade off with the UK as the #1 per capita emitter, and we're certainly the biggest historical emitter. But hey. Facts.

Please try to pay attention, as far as co2 is concerned it is literally .4% of the earths atmosphere, so as I said before neither you or I could affect it no matter how hard we try. It does not matter how you skew the numbers, co2 does not hurt your contentious idea of how amazing humans are compared to the totality of the Earth. On the realistic side of the argument the US does produce a mere 8% vs China's 23% of real emissions (things that are bad for you,I, and our children) and that is legitimate progress which you had no part in other than your bitchin on this forum. So if I were someone who was interested in factual information I might just check out what the 30,000+ PHD's had to say about global climate change based on human devouring of our planet. But I'm sure that doesn't really count cuz they're all stupid and you don't drive a vehicle, heat your home, flush your toilets, or use electricity.... my bad

That's something like .0000022%. Assume wiki is off by a factor of 100 and you still get 0.00022% and I'm sure there are deadlier things than ricin it just was the first thing that came to mind.

As for the PhD's, 97% of climate scientists agree that global warming is occurring and that it is caused by humans. So yeah, we are listening to the scientists.

Im just happy to see other people in the snow community are also switched on to a very real issue, that is going to affect the thing we love, very shortly. When Jeremy Jones said that only about 1% of us (snow sport community NOT population) are actively making changes for the better, its seems pretty bleak.

But thanks to some peoples ignorance, (dont need to name names) its hopeful to see not everyone denies something, just cause they cant accept they are part of the problem.

Im not a scientist so i really have weight to argue for or against. I just follow what the people who do know are stating. People that deny scientific fact remind me of what people must have been like when someone came up with the idea the Earth was round. Everyone thinks its crazy to begin with (human nature with change), but then soon everyone believes it. I just hope intelligence takes over from greed and people wake up before its too late.
