Oh man, I'm beyond excited, my Uncle finished the artwork for my boat!

That is gorgeous! Your uncle did an amazing job.
That boat is beautiful. Congratulations Bob, you work hard and you deserve a boat like that.
How is it being shipped from Baldwin ? If you come back here to pick it up, don’t be a stranger.

Thx guys, that’s a mock up of the artwork overlayed onto a stock pic. He wasn’t sure which boat I was getting so he overlayed it on a 13’ Sniper, mine will be a 15’ Aftermath HD. But that’s pretty much what it will look like, I’m pumped. I love the map of the ABC.
Harry, I’m either having it delivered or having my buddy Doug (Lives in Kalamazoo Michigan.) drag it out here when he drives out in April for a couple ski weeks. Hopefully see you in Boblandia one of these days…
You can practice running red creek with my boat before you pop that cherry with the new hoopty.
Awesome Bob! You’re gonna dig the Afertmath.

I never ended up getting the bottom refinished. Sort of dragged my feet early winter. Once I finally reached out to the guys in Baldwin the timeline looked to jam up my spring fishing. I think I’ll run it for another season or two then do it. It’s the bottom. And Damage really isn’t that bad.I’m past the point of new boat ownership where I care about the little shit.
The skinny skiff of going to be a sweet little setup!
Sweet !
another maggot joins the Stealthcraft Crew !

Another addition to the Stealthcraft crew: non-mag Josh attended 4/20 at Boblandia and was really impressed with both Bob’s and jcpm’s Stealthcrafts, so he called up Mike and bought one.
I joined him on its inaugural float down River X. Cool boat, it has raised casting platforms in both bow and stern for sight fishing. Dibbs would love it.

That thing looks rad. I'm very much in raft country but I could see myself using one of those. Are they smaller than traditional drifters?

That one is regular size, 16 feet, just a blunt nose to make the casting platform. Works very well around here, but I wouldn’t want it on a bigger river like Telee’s south fork.
I’ve got a small one, a little 2-person pram, it’s only 11 feet. I use it solo all the time with a bicycle shuttle. Works great.
anyone have experience with their rafts?
looking for something that can float shallow/skinny water, hold 3 people, and self bailing.
I know of the flycraft stealth x and nrs.. but im not sure if nrs approach is 3 person compatible nor self bailing
spent a lot of time in a buddy's hooligan. gets skinny no doubt and rows well. the rubber is absolutely bomber. his is not self bailing however.
best combo of self bailing and ridged walkable floor going... big tubes for high float.

My Uncle (the artist that does veils for them) has a Hooligan. I went back to Michigan last March and visited my Mom. While there I spent a day on the Pere Marquette fishing with him. We stopped in at the factory in Baldwin and chatted with Mike. I tried to buy a hoody but he wouldn’t have any part of it and gave it to me.
We floated the PM, I rowed more than half, wanted to see how it handled. I was impressed. The PM is a twisty, snaggy, treed, river, you’re pretty much always on the sticks. His was the larger version but still was easy to pilot. I didn’t have any trouble pivoting it around the multiple snags and bars.
I have no opinion on fast water as it was pretty chill. The bottom seemed solid, and the braces inspired confidence. I’d give it a thumbs up.
