I used to get a double pass to bird/alta up until 2 years ago when I finally decided I would not support Alta management being douche bags not allowing snowboards. I board and think that Alta would be a much more fun mountain for snowboarding than skiing.

While they have the right to do it, not allowing snowboarders is fucking lame.

I think a lot of (but NOT ALL) snowboarders may pout that they can't board at Alta or wherever, but at the same time they LOVE the fact they are banned from certain ski areas. They think they are rebels, outcasts, badasses...if you let them everywhere, how can they stomp their feet, call people names, and be verrrrry grumpy about it?

And yes, I mainly ski with snowboarders so I don't hate any of them. We are all so lucky that we are the top 5% in the world financially so we can ski or snowboard. If you think you are a rebel and can still afford being in this elite sport, whatever. You go girrrl.

I've thought of organizing a 'Skiers for Snowboarders' group and get a bunch of skiers to petition Alta to let them in, but I also have a feeling a few snowboarders don't want a bunch of dorky skiers helping them. What do you guys think?

I love how you still don't get it. And how you are still telling me I wont like alta because you and your lazy ass snowboard friends cant handle a climb and a traverse. Everywhere I ride I hike and traverse and climb. I could care less how many years you rode a board or a ski. I could give two shits if i can ride at alta or not, but if you think all of those low cut traverses are only from snowboarders your kidding yourself. There are plenty of incompetent skiers who cut low traverses....
