how the HELL do people ski/ride when tripping...thats about the dumbest thing i could imagine....


we hiked for an hour at loveland during a fullmoon last may with some boarder who was tripping...

when we got to the top he strapped in, told us his board was on fire, took a deep breath and "dropped in"....

he basically just fell off a small cornice...laid there for a second and then just bombed it into the trees....

mind you it was 3am and boilerplate....


we got to the bottom and found him just sitting on a stump staring into space....cant believe he made it...

I think you're forgetting the part where I skied past you, I didn't hike out like you. However I got to the bottom in time to film your buddy beater down the whole thing.

Yes, at which point, you were still hiking out like a gaper. We scoped that whole face from the bottom and chose our line an hour before hiking up there. Maybe you should do that next time instead of cliffing yourself out.

From what I hear it's pretty easy to get tenures in B.C., we could set something up like the Montana Snowcat Club or whatever the place was that they skiied at for the feature in PowderMag last year. I'll chip in some dough, who wants to apply for the tenure, find a used SnowCat and move to Canadia with me? :biggrin: :fmicon:

I remember drinking a half gallon of really good mushroom tea with a buddy of mine one day and I then proceeded to do nonstop laps on High Rustler for almost two hours. We did a bunch of really dumb shit that day. Man was it good! :biggrin:

I'm not sure if you're joking or not, but if you aren't, I wanna get in on the ground floor, whenever the option becomes available. I just read something about Baldface, and how they started their operation with 50 grand and some outside investors, I think we could pull that off. Just tell me when and where, and I'll be there.

my own resort has been my dream for so many years, something the size of kt22, sick steep terrain with a double chair, sweet mountainbiking in the summer. ladies and gents, lets get it done so i have a chill place to be a ski bum for a few years

Doesn't MRG have something like this, where they have shareholders who bought the resort and keep it running? We could sell shares and every mag could own a small slice. Just need to find some land and an old tractor that can covert to a tow rope for the short-term.

I know there are mags out there with real estate experience and financial backing connections.

500 Mags could raise $2M with a $4000 investment....that's like 3 Squaw passes.

There are definetly alot of zones here in Argentina that are very doable for this. And the Andes have the terrain we are looking for, now all we need is some deep pockets, who's got em?

the issue with the andes is that it would be a fairly short season, and getting most of our asses all the way down there is a real kick in the nutz. Cat operation in Canada would get my money.
