Bummer dooood. I'm out of ideas. Tough shit, huh?
Funny they say to "describe what you would do," yet there is a right answer...
A couple weak ass ideas and you're done?! You're fucked for college, and you haven't even made it out of high school yet. When you're ready to step up to the big leagues of bullshitters, come back.Quote:

The ideal candidate's essay would address or touch on all of the points in this statement, without pandering.
Does it make sense why snow science and ski touring might not be broad enough now?
Where did you get the idea that I want to be a guide? This is a 3 and a half week course I'm designing, NOT a major, dude. I'm heading for pre-med, man. Orthopedics. I don't know how much to "extrapolate" as far as that's concerned. Go across the globe and find people to dissect? (kidding).Quote:

Back to the drawing board. (Funny... coming up with a topic to research was the hardest part of my entire research project... see any parallels?)
Playing the devil: Why would you design your "intellectual adventure" not in your major? Or even close?Quote:

Something about the use of big bones in our society.Quote:

Honestly. You're from Louisiana and really don't know anything about the field or how interesting it might be to you. The admissions committee will know this, and will therefore consider you writing a paper about snow science, or even saying you want to study snow science, to be pretty juvenile. Maybe you'll develop an interest in the field, but wanting to ski a lot and wanting to be a snow scientist are way different things.
I'll be back home in Michigan over Thanksgiving visiting family and shit. However, your best bet for scoring fine college tail is over here at the U. St. Thomas girls have been, in my experience, uppity. Anyways, they're always stumbling around Dinkytown (my 'hood) near campus instead of St. Paul. I can point you at a couple good bars if you'd like.Quote:

Scary shit... :(

My EMT teacher doesn't seem to think pre-med is that ridiculous... Do doctors have to be creative geniuses? Not that I know of... My physics lab conclusions are far more coherent because they involve scientific, analytical writing, not dreaming up crap. Anyway, this thread is pretty useless because I got my teacher to edit the dinosaur one today, and she said that with changes it would be good. I guess gramps, you didn't get to see that one because I took it out. Whatever, thanks for the help anyway. Glad I didn't use the snow science one. PHEW!
(read: I am a moron, but will still pursue medicine).
