which was taken while sitting in -15F (and a breeze!) waiting for the statehood celebratory fireworks, which were unfortunately covered by the fog.
Damn I need a to get a good tripod, but the breeze oscillations make for interesting jet tracks.

Vibes to my brother.
Broken distal fibula, with dislocation of the tibia, which needed reduction done before surgery to put the 2 leg bones back into alignment on the foot (talus/calcaneus). 7 screws and a plate were put in after. 3 months recovery, with the next 6 weeks being the worst.
He has been dominating indoor MoCo track and field, and was on pace for an amazing senior outdoor track season as well. Was really tough on me as his older brother to feel so helpless the past few days. Back out at school now, so it's not as bad.

Laker, I love those first 2 shots. If those were in my portfolio, I'd definitely be printing them off for a wall or a small framed desk photo.
Coupla shots i got in Hellroaring Basin on Big Mountain jan 4th.

The only processing i did to the image was turn it to black and white, and bump the contrast a touch. It looks so black because it was a super bluebird day, and the shot was a little underexposed, kind of darkening the background sky a bunch. Plus it was just below the ridge, so there wasn't any trees or hill in the background. i love it, i think it makes the skier really pop with nothing really in the background.

What's interesting about this one, besides the æstetic appeal, is that the physical phenomenon behind the fanning of the columns up top is yet unknown.
Lots of really, really solid work here. Very inspiring!
