Wanting to get a Savage 10FP in .308, but bought the girl a dual suspension mountain bike instead so we can ride together. Might buy a Swiss K31 instead.
Where do you Denver-area mags go shooting!?!? I haven't been at a range since I moved to Colorado - I'm talking about minimum of 300yards, preferably 600-800yards high power range?
Pawnee National Grasslands. It's a drive but worth it. Clear backstops out to 2700 yards plus. On a weekend there will be guys with .338 Lapua, .50BMG, and 20mm sniper rifles out there. It's a good place to do research with .308 at the transonic transition.
PM me if you want the GPS coordinates.
and check your email
i want to hear about the skis :)
Pechelman, we need to shoot this summer.

^^^Armalite AR-50?
The Sako's a good gun. Guys I know have 2 of them, suppressed. The Accuracy International .338 is a more accurate gun though.
The 20mm shooters out there use surplus Vulcan cases drilled out to accept .50BMG primers (the original cases were electrically primed) with 1500 grain 20mm machined slugs. Anzio Ironworks makes a good single shot rifle.
For size comparison:
5.56, .338, .50, 20mm

JEEZUS I still have cartridge envy whenver that picture comes up around here.
$20 a shot should moderate your envy a bit. :D
that 20mm looks familiar
ive got one sitting at home from a little "project" back a few years
and yea
definitely P
^^ Yeah, no old ass TVs for a 20mm.. I think I'd need to buy a beater with an engine that runs and have at it/
This one?

you guys are freaks.
How humorously and unwittingly ironic. If you don't understand why, go read more about Solzhenitsyn's life and writings.Quote:

Go away and let the adults talk.
Thanks for the info. I had heard about the 20mm but didn't know you could buy it. Looks like a great place for 50bmg and 338 stuff too. Nice.
Every family should have a full complement of weapons and know how to use them.
The right to bear arms is not for shooting squirrels......it's for getting rid of tyrannical governments.
You need a Destructive Device tax stamp from the BATFE for 20mm rifles. Your dealer will know about it.
Any centerfire weapon with a rifled bore over .50" is a Destructive Device and needs a $200 tax stamp when you buy it.
A DU .50BMG bullet would have good sectional density, for sure, and would likely remain supersonic out to 2000 yards or more. But why not just get a .408 Cheytac that does the same thing for less cost?
cause 408s are ridiculously pricey in every respect?
but yea, I heart the 408 cheytac
speshially dis one
As opposed to making bullets out of depleted uranium?
Hold on a minute - there's a big difference between someone who has liberal views and a librodouche. Librodouches don't own guns - especially handguns. Librodouches think meat comes from the grocery store and if someone breaks into their house they can just throw their cell phone at them.
Holy shit!
Holy fuckin' shit!!
STFU and stop being gay, you gay. Suit - could you please ban this guy?
while this is already top page:
gun supporting liberal checking in.
Me too. No war, bring the troops home, gay marriage AOK, give me some single-payer healthcare, and please let me buy Russian surplus general purpose machineguns.Quote:

I'm with you there.......cut the military adventurism......bring all troops home from everywhere........defend the homeland.........true freedom.......let us own
grenade launchers, mortars, all the full autos we can get our paws on.
Land of freedom my ass......this is land of big brother regulation.
Liberal progressive libertarian gun supporter checking in
it's just a tool. you can kill somebody with a hammer or a car. we're not banning hammers and cars. it's a lame mentality that would blame the means by which people hurt one another rather than the underlying human factors.
all those years of "fighting communism"...
the russian kids that show up to play hockey laugh (respectfully but...) at our healthcare and our overabundance of petty bureaucratic laws and procedures.
we are the the redcoats. we are the commies, we are the roman empire. how this gets overlooked I may never know.
