Probably should've mentioned this in my post: If anyone needs any help servicing a Floyd, hit me up.
I a pretty new to playing, and had an Epiphone Special II for a few years that got stolen when some crackhead tweakers broke into my house. With the insurance money, I picked up a Epiphone Les Paul Classic with a Vox AD15VT modeling amp. I really like the new set up better, and have played more with it than the past year with the old guitar. Yes, I will admit that I am a Guitar JONG, but with skiing, we all start somewhere, and being in my mid thirties with a wife and kids, rock star is not in the cards.
i figured there'd be a guitars and shit thread or two here. Bumping this one. Ya, I got a few guitars., know a couple cords, but primarily a life long drummer..

I still have these and more. Nothing really special aside from a Japan strat with swimming pool cutout (where the pickups go) that I’m building -> all shielded, locking Grover tuners, not quite sure about the pickups. Something super hot.
I have a bunch of amps also but only run a little musicmaster bass (basically a big champ) for noodling at home and a Orange AD 30 HTC thru a Orange 4x12 when I need some volume.
Shitty picture, but I beleive I see the heavy wood G&S warptail (NOT laminate) with Bennetts and the original sims pure juice reds on the right. Left is shit I can't tell. Bottom center a reissue Z-flex with what looks like the heavy ass ACS "downhill" truck (not the 651 , 580?) and some reissue wheels that resemble Kryps. Parcially obsured by the keyboards on the right looks like a rockett (going on decal only) with the really crappy bowl riders, original issue gull wings? that would be a horrible, unfunctional setup.
but Just a guess.
to the subject matter a fender flattop I got for christmas 1979. With a darthole just below the nuts. Pro tip: Don't play darts drunk with the board set up above yer guitar.
Right now I am teaching myself on an old Washburn . I’m really lucky in that someone has promised to give me A minty PRS Custom 24 in Burlwood if I keep it up. She no longer plays it, and it is just collecting dust (which is ridiculous, but I'd take it...)

Those HEAVY ASS ACS Downhill trucks were the 650. Remember the massive base plates?

That would be a 27" G&S Bowl Rider with Phoenix.. and ya those crazy Sims Bowlriders. Looks badd assed. Slow as fuck on concrete.

Here are some Bennett Pros with UNBROKEN plastic base plates and the obligatory nose dinged FiberFlex.

I've got a couple bids in. Little hope of success but fun to play.
Mid-60’s Hoboken built Guild F20 with a sunburst top. Such a nice little porch picking guitar.
But I spend most of my time in the low end:
Fender AVRI 57 Precision
Mike Lull MV5
Oftpiste making me feel better about my collection. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...663ee45877.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8d37f320cc.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b4631a2d15.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a6266fe54b.jpg there’s most of the collection.
I knew a couple guys years ago who had the Martin Mahogs, '50's vintages. Both had stories of finding them in some old lady's attic and paying like $100.
I found one of my Japanese Strats, early '80's vintage, with one of those whacky floyd rose knock-off/locking nut trem bridges at Value Village for $29.99. It was covered in rust and grime and had been put on hold by someone who failed to pick it up in time so I swooped.
Had to disassemble it completely, remove rust and grime to make it useful, but that trem bridge I could never quite dial in, and because of the monstrosity of the cutout it's tough to replace it with something more normal. Kept the price tag on the axe.
That said, yeah, those things don't really happen much anymore.
I bought a Gretsch from a lady down the street whose son had died for $50. 1983, it was from the fifties. Thin hollow body electric.
Best score of my life, I sold it for coke money in 1985.
Still kicking myself (and haven’t done coke since that year)
I have a Ramirez classical, a Lanikai baritone uke, and this 1964 Regal archtop I found stuck to the floor in my uncle's basement. He bought it and never played it. The grandkids had used it as a weapon and when I picked it up, part of the finish remained on the floor. The sides were separated from the back at the heel. The tuners were all bent. The fingerboard was ugly spray painted stenciled fret markers covering some beautiful brazilian rosewood. And the action on the original strings was 7/8" at the 12th fret. It wasn't worth anything but at my uncle's insistence I spent several months restoring it to a playable condition. It is the loudest acoustic guitar I have ever played and has a tone that rings pure and sustained. Too bad I'm a fingerstyle player and am hopeless with a pick or I'd play it more often.

My main two right now but i got a few more in storage...the lp copy cost me 120chf/usd and plays really nice. The builder had a leaving-switzerland blowout sale. I bought two more identical ones for friends. Got the mockingbird last year and probably my best guitar ever after getting it plek'd.

76 Ibenez lawsuit still completely stock.
12 string ovation acoustic
6 fender acoustic
Scooped this little guy up today. thrift store $29. Got a MG100 HDFX but the 412 cabinet's out in the shed. This should be fun for messing around some.

Close enough...got a strat and play it all night long? [emoji2]
It wasn't very large
There was just enough to cram the drums
In the corner over by the Dodge
(It was a '54 with a mashed up door)
And a cheesy little amp
With a sign on the front said "Fender Champ"
And a second-hand guitar
It was a Stratocaster with a whammy bar

Picked up another Yamaha for the kid since he likes those and Goodwill had a deal on FG331. These are stashed in his room.
