Does he have a flag?
Bode has some serious talent. He is lucky he has the financial support of all his sponsors. He will kick some ass this winter, and have a good time doing it.
From the Salt Lake Tribune:
In his first race independent of the U.S. ski team, Bode Miller posted the second-fastest final run to vault from 17th position into fifth with a combined time of 2:18.93. Miller's time in the second leg was all the more impressive considering a major mistake he made after coming over the breakover, when he made two wide turns.
''I was struggling to get a feel for the snow first run. We warmed up on completely different snow,'' said Miller, who was recovering from a back injury. ''I'm pretty satisfied with my race today. Second run I was able to recover from my mistake. There were two sections I was particularly happy with, where I felt I had good rhythm.''
What a great race - Svindal, Ligety, Pallender, Raich, and Miller.
All seasoned veterans, with the exception of Ligety; I'm not sure what that means, but it gets me excited for the season. Should be some serious competition at the top again.
For those not in the know, you can watch all World Cup races at www.WCSN.com for $5/month.
All props to Bode if this makes him a better skier.
But I'm tired of all this talk about times that are more impressive because of a mistake during the run. The mistake is a part of the run and it makes it less impressive. Good work though, only bested by Svindal in the second half.Quote:

That's just a way to create attention which helps making money. Bode is not alone. He definately has a good money-making machine in the background.
Can we get a bode montage? Even rocky had a montage!
Hmmm. I wasn't figuring the women into that idea. Might have to rethink and restate to more podiums than the men. Good to see Julie and Ligety ripping it up.
Just a thought.....if they take split times on racers during the run, does that give us a Ligety split?
Looks like he is putting the ME in tEaM? Any other memebers?
me.

Very Nice. I remember doing similar trips with my Dad and Grandfather when I was Skyler's age. Some of the best times of my young life
