Atomic heli-guide 200cm, and Iggy FFL 200cm. Almost the same ski stability wise.
The both of these make ANTS feel like wet noodles.

We used to ski on 223 downhill boards too, those are fun.

It's a Bushnell. I bought it a few years ago for the express purpose of finding out just how fast some of us were skiing.
I had always said that beginning to intermediate skiers overestimate their real speeds, but experts tend to underestimate theirs. I wanted to test my theory so I bought it (with a little help from some of the maggots cuz it was hundreds of dollars back then) and we've been doing an annual radar speed trap day in April ever since. This year will be the 5th anniversary of the event.
It's amazing how easily one can reach 60+ MPH with the right conditions and skis.

anyhow, the most stable skis i have ever been on:

190 pow + (now robokills) - beat you up at less than mach looney
190 FFF #240 (now safety squad) turnable at low speed, but i never got them going too fast...
200 FFL #260 (now gamma) - most stable ski ever. litteally a super g ski fat ski
195 FGS #270 (now good4nothing) - mid fat super g ski

I concur--I demoed a pair in 2000 in La Grave and immediately bought them. I still have a mint pair of the more manageable 198s if anyone's interested. Funny how these used to be considered mid-fats...

I also second the bros, the iggies and of course the W105. I skied my 105s for days in hard snow aspen conditions with a pretty fast crew and never had a problem.

got clocked at 75 last year forerunning the mara/vara downhill at sugarloaf... granted i was in a speed suit and it was bulletproof ice, but that was through a turn, not even straightlining... I was on my 205 atomic super-g skis that fucking rip... the top guy that day was clocked at 81...

And location. I have no clue how fast I was going but one morning I was at the Basin and hit the mid section of the downhill when it was super buff 'roy. wow, scared myself in a big hurry.

I know you're in love with Snowbird and this event will forever stay there but it would be cool to hit up some of the groomers at Snowbasin and see how much farther the limits could be pushed. Methinks the Basin has more runs that are wide open. My $.02 (not trying to start another Bird v. "any resort" riot)

How about sometime between March 10 and March 17 at Basin? April may be a bit late for Basin given the low snowfall this year. Also, that week may be the last time I'm in Utah for a while depending on where I end up getting a job... no more winter/spring break trips. :(

I think the DH might be a bit much... if you're really trying for speed it's great, but there isn't much room to scrub speed before heading off rollers, etc. Coyote Bowl is actually pretty good for getting speed up and it has a long flatish straight runout to recover on. Yea.

Edit: The NKOs are good for speed, though my bindings are starting to crap out.
