His insurance won't go up- no way will LA find out about a ticket in CO. Hell, I was in NC and they didn't even find out about one 90 miles away in VA.

The second you open your fat mouth, the judge is going to try to make you close it.
Good luck. :)
When did Max change his handle?
Me = :confused:
sack up douchebag. It's a ticket, they give them out because you screwed up. pay the fine and move on.
That is such a bullshit ticket, but I am sure it is a significant source of income for Colorado. I have only been to DIA once, but I almost got a ticket leaving the airport. You leave the terminal area on to this wide open 4 lane road, where anywhere else in the country it would have a 55mph speed limit. I am sure it is posted 45mph, but I never say the sign. The freaking cop waits just far enough down the road to everyone builds up a little speed, then takes his pick.
I will never vote for a any tax increase for police services if they set up speed traps. I figure they are over staffed if they have time for douche bag cops to sit on there fat asses waiting in places like this. Speed traps are bullshit
Daddy buys Maxie a car, and he proceeds to get a ticket in it? Woulda thought?
I didn't get the memo on your name change either.
Quit speeding or get a 9600. Easy.
So this is Max. I was just thinking that this guy posts just like Max.
Just wait...it's really confusing when he posts under both names in the same thread and the same basic persona. At first I thought I was the one that was losing my mind and then I realized that totally wasn't the case.
I didn't know about it either, not that I was paying a whole hell of a lot of attention.
So your defense is going to be that you were only temporarily speeding? Wow, what an ironclad defense.
no his defense is that Max Gosey was speeding and he's Deep Days, sheesh reading comp man! learn it, love it, live it.
That mentality seems to get you into a whole bunch of trouble.Quote:
In order not to die, I felt like I had to go significantly faster
It also depends a lot on what you said to the cop when he pulled you over. Did you say or do anything to admit to guilt? (aka: did you apologize? admit to speeding? Say "but it wasn't my fault" etc.. etc...) If you did, you'll have a lot harder time fighting.
If you're pissed enough, you can hire a lawyer. They usually know all of the tricks for your particular state, and won't make an ass of themselves in front of the magistrate/judge like you likely will.
Always go to court, it can't hurt. Just don't be an idiot.
I've gotten 3 tickets in my life and I went to court for 2 of them(other was far away). 1 was totally dropped cause the cop didn't show. And the other was cut in half. Why not?
I fight all my tickets I think I'm up a few. Most of the time the judge most of the time has given me a suspended ticket for a year. Also come up with some good questions for the Cop so you don't look like a ass oh, and if you can throw down an objection.
Here in my east coast burb, it always pays to appeal. The usual procedure is that on the day of the hearing, the cop will stroll up to you while waiting to see the judge and start some small talk then ask why you are appealing the ticket. At that time, you mumble something about points and $$$ and if your record is otherwise clean, he usually says "how about I ask the judge to plea it down to blah, blah, blah. That way there will be no points and i'll save you $. After agreeing, he makes the changes, you pay the reduced ticket and off you go.
On another note, when I was in college, I was a bag man for a traffic court judge in a large city.On Fridays, I would go from ward leader to ward leader picking up bags of money and traffic summons. The going deal was that the poor sucker who got a ticket would approach the ward leader who would agree to "eliminate the points" but not the fine. The "fine" would then be split with 25% going to the ward leader and the remander to the judge. The judge then strolled into the files and pulled the hard copy of the ticket and that was that. On any given friday, I had at least 20 bags filled with money in the trunk of my car.after delivery, I'd get hit with a few hundred and off I'd go.
The entire court is probably out of order, be sure to point this out.
Just STFU and pay the stupid ticket. Your constant whining and babble is getting really old. SACK UP and make a decision on your own!!!!!
I have new financial backing.
