Johnny Egan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That guy is my mentor!!!! When I used to live in VT growing up skiing at Sugarbush & MRG (killing on the single and castlerock double), I would ski with Johnny a lot. I got mail from him this past spring, things are going good for him with his life & family overall. He is the one gouy I wanna rip altabird with just because he made me look mountians in a whole different way years ago, & I still feel humbeled he made take steps intop a much larger world:biggrin:  .

also, I don't get how the gaff's are "underrated" anybody you'd be likely to talk to rates them highly.
underexposed? ummm no...cause one of them makes huge hetro-life-partner homage films to the other.
underspancered? probably but then...who's fault is that?
for years ive thought of starting a thread along these lines. he's my fave skier, period. his style is so smooth, and he sticks big airs totally clean.
This thread is dumb. being "the most underrated skier" is like being the worlds best virgin pornstar. If you're really good at it and no one notices, then how good are you? "if a tree falls in the woods, and no one's around to hear it..." type shit. If everyone agree's that you're sick, then how the fuck are you underrated? because you're too lazy to get some sponsors and have to mooch gear off your friends, even thought you're a freakin doctor (and an author) and have plenty of money to buy a lift ticket and a new pair of skis? Wow, where should we send your trophy?
happy birthday Tate, you hater.
I've had a few drinks, so the flood gates of hate have broken!Quote:

Don't forget to put the new cover sheet on your TPS report.Quote:

I think we have decided that with their fame and notoriety, they are disqualified from the non-spancered classification.
I do however, want to know both of their votes???
I have two votes:
Tahoe: Dave Dougherty (Huckstix....who occcasionally lurks). He skis techy lines, and goes frickin enormous. I have seen him do the "Doughboy" line (his namesake from Squawlywood) when he is out skiing solo (just out popping 60footers for fun).
Colorado: Goldenboy (except I think he gets some clothes now...so might be disqualified). When I met GB in Boulder in 96, I had never seen skiing at his level before........taught me alot. 10 years later he still pulls top ten at the CB extremes every year, and does it all for the love of the sport.
whatever dude, once you name them, they're no longer underrated. that's the new rule. if you ski for no credit/ love only... you get no credit! choose your lifestyle
Hmmm....and here I thought I was the only one to use that metric of literature evaluation.Quote:

Is DC still alive?
I'd give some props to Dantheman, MD9 and that rat bastard phUnk if it was my thread.
I haven't read a single post in this thread, but I just thought I'd tell you guys to take a break from talking about how great I am long enough to give somebody else some credit.
Hell, I'll throw a vote in for goldenboy (but actually 'cause he's the only one I know - and thats just barely). Plus I like his "low key-ness", and that gets my respect.
