Could you even walk?
After wiping my hand onto the side of my arm, I had three chopsticks surgically implanted.

This is from a few years ago so I wasn't gonna repost, but Corhnole requested. I've had many many more since, but no pics.
I see a little mouth.
Did it tell you it was upset?
Looks upset.

I was racing a couple of friends down a dry creek bed...by moonlight. I jumped into a shadow I thought was about four feet deep. It turned out to be about ten feet deep. I landed on my feet but the rock was covered in wet algae and my feet shoot out in front of me and my right butt cheek broke my fall.

BTW, I'm not bending over for the camera. I couldn't stand any straighter than that for almost two weeks.
As soon as it happened I took 4 Ibuprofen and chugged a 24oz. Beer and took off knowing i had 3.5miles walk out. By the time i got to the car, i was screaming with each step.Quote:

All I have for now is a scar. Scar comes from slamming into a tree spring skiing. Hit the tree upside down, back first. Broke the scapula in 3 places. It started to heal the wrong way, so they had to re-break it during surgery. Now I have a plate and a bunch of screws in my shoulder. Along with the broken shoulder blade, I had a punctured lung, and 15 stitches in the back of my head. That was in 1996, I was 16 and away at a ski academy. Needless to say the parents FREAKED OUT! That ended my competitive freestyle career.

I have a butt bruise pic somewhere, but it pales in comparison to the previously posted butt bruise!
Affix Snow - do you loofah and exfolliate that ass? Besides the bruise your bum looks in mighty fine shape! Not hairy and pimply like some male butt's. Very impressed!
Affix- All of my friends (nonmaggots) are talking about your butt! How do ya like that!!!!Quote:

Man, these are awesome.
What's the story behind the mangled finger?
Wow! Some serious carnage in here!
I don’t have any gore pics to share but I do have a story….
In the mid-90s I was on a photo shoot in Canada and we spent a few days at Lake Louise. One of the lifts there that gets you to the good terrain is a Pomo lift. Being from the states (Squaw Valley) this just wasn’t something I was very used to. It’s not like they’re hard to figure out but for snowboarders they’re kind of a pain in the ass. My experience with Pomo lifts in the states was on mellow terrain but up here they had it going up what seemed like a 35-40 degree slope (near the top).
On our last day there we went up the Pomo first thing in the morning and the track under the lift was REALLY icy. After a combination late night partying, wake-n-bake, and generally just not paying enough attention I fell off the lift near the steepest part. I was close to the top and I didn’t want to start over so I took my board off and tried to grab one of the Pomo discs. This was a mistake that nearly cost me my life. When I stepped onto the track and tried to grab the disc I immediately started sliding down the icy track. It was like a fucking luge course without the walls. It only took a second or two for me to really start gaining momentum and speed. I knew I was in serious trouble. Faster and faster I slid down the hill out of control. My body starts spinning too…head first…feet first..etc. I see a couple lift towers fly by me and I’m relieved that I don’t hit them at this speed (and without a helmet) but I’m also scared because I know that with each foot I descend I gain more speed and sooner or later I’m going to hit something. The old saying of “seeing your life flash before your eyes” was really ringing true.
It was early morning so the lift was empty. Had it been crowed I probably would have hit the party behind me at a low speed and been fine but no such luck. After what I estimate to be about 200-300vertical feet of sliding on the track at what seemed like at least 20-25 miles per hour I finally ran into someone coming up the lift. It was a high speed collision and we bounced off each other in a split second. We both slid off the track and I finally came to a rest another 20 feet or so down the mountain. I was soooo stoked to finally be stopped but I knew something was wrong with my leg. I pulled up my pant leg and saw lot of blood and a depression in my base layer (but not a hole) near the front of my calf muscle. I applied pressure and looked up the hill to the person I hit. He was shaken up but not injured (thankfully!).
Soon after, the ski patrol showed up and took me to the medics (props to Lake Louise Ski Patrol too!). It was there that we discovered another wound on the backside of my calf and it was deemed that I needed to be sent to a real hospital.
At the hospital it was determined that I had been punctured by the ski of the person I collided into. His ski tip entered the front of my calf and had enough force to poke itself out the backside leaving a four inch long laceration (width of the tip) on both sides. It was gnarly.
I was lucky that it didn’t sever my femoral artery (only a few mm away) and I didn’t bleed to death. I’m also lucky my lower body hit the skier/skis and not my upper body. I wouldn’t have been in very good shape had I been punctured in the heart, lungs, or head.
The Canadian doctor and hospital cleaned/stapled me up good and took great care of me. Recovery was only 8-10 weeks too for the muscle damage which was much shorter than if I broke the leg or tore the ACL. I also got a full page, contents page, and some clips for a video segment so the trip wasn’t a complete loss.
I tried to take a pic of the scars but they don’t show up very well.
no blood but how about a sequence shot of the exact moment i broke my wrist...

I have to get these images out of my head before I ski next season. F*ck these pics are freakin me out.
Man, I think we're knee clones or something. I have the same exact pic from my surgery last year. I though you got if from my webshots or kzone.Quote:

All the blood came from that little cut in my foot. So it must have hit some big vein. Plus I join also to ACL club with this pic :)
Chicks may dig scars, but I dig chicks with scars.
This thread rools.
Edit: Just realized that Iceman may have a contribution to this thread...
Here's what my lower leg looked like after my first day back on skis 4.5 months after ACL reconstruction. I think I had my brace cinched down a little too tight eh?
