Freeride/big mountain snowboard?

Seriously, that would be a lot of board for most people's needs. Unless she is planning a heli trip to AK, or is over 200 lbs (if this is case, forget earlier request :eek: ), I'd pass.

hey we're skiing europe so heli terrain can be accessed via the lifts ;)
and this season we had 19 pow days out of 19 days we made it out (all deeper than 30cm / 11"+ ;) ) soo this board would only be for deep days in the right terrain.
as i said she is 170cm and 55kg. likes stiff boards, rides technically very good (instructor), and likes to go fast.
i was wondering if it was too much, but she wanted to go at least 162cm for her big mountain board so i'm wondering if those 7cm more would do so much ? with skis you barely notice that. is it that much worse in snowboards ? (hell im skiing 03/04 big daddies and only weigh about 75kg)

@lars … tell her about "arbor" boards … a friend of mine bought one and loves it, he rides fast, aggressive and technically very very good. (i told you about him i guess). hes about 185 and now rides the 170 version, the powboard. its really stiff … he was with me when i killed my knee at the arlberg last weekend and i could flex the board, the burton olofson pro model was that narrow and hard, as shes a girl with maybe small feet (i didnt look that close ;-) ) that might be a good option.

yeah well but the never summer would be cheap, get the reason eh ? :D
i didn't ask for "good big mountain boards for my gf", but for advice considering that particular board and the size and i highjacked the thread because the never summer seems to be the spatula of the TGR board-riders. (and yes i've heard about arbor boards ;) )

considering her feet: well the never summer is not much wider than her board now( a few mm at best), if it is wider at all.

Seriously, the Titan is a lot of board. A 169 Titan would be a lot of board even for a big heavy dude. Proceed with caution.

Your girlfriend wants a Never Summer and not an Arbor. The Arbor is like a Never Summer with training wheels.
