The latter. There were much easier ways to troll for the previous abuser of this alias, but I wasn't smart enough to figure out how.Quote:

This brings up an interesting question. Multiple Personality Disorder is when one person thinks he or she is several people. So what do you call it when several people think they're one? :DQuote:

I don't actually even own a TV so don't care too much, but just curious.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Just the posts disclosing who won in the title, or posting the results in a thread with no warning in the title. Kindof like the NSFW rule.Quote:

Maybe because I've never done it myself, but I think using an alias is chicken shit!
Thanks F.
You are definitely not wrong--I just was hot having had now two events spoiled by a) bad posts; b) my own stupidity for reading said posts.Quote:

I deleted my thread because it was, as stated above, an overreaction.
I have to add though that a function of this board is that when scrolling over the thread title, the text of the thread is revealed. So an inadvertent "scroll over" where the thread author has taken steps to advertise that results are in the thread may still reveal the results.
I posted this in another thread, but honestly everyone... if you really care so fucking much about not having the events spoiled, and you're going to great lengths to not find out (telling people to stop talking about the olympics, turning off the radio/tv, going on a crazy killing spree on skis inspired by the biathlon, etc) then just don't check the board. It's really that simple. This is a ski board, it's not out of the realm of imagination or possibility that perhaps some inconsiderate person may have posted the results. If you're willing to leave the room when someone starts talking olympics, you should be willing to forego the board for one day. It's really not that hard.
The only person I have any sympathy for is frozen, because it is actually his job to check the board. So please, everyone, think of frozenwater before you post. Because everytime you masturbate, frozen kills a baby duck. Or something. ;)
BODE TAKES FIFTH!!!!!!!!!!
and drinks it.
this thread must now be deleted.
Although this is true, Sam, there's such a thing as common courtesy and posting the results in a thread title goes waay against this.Quote:

And these are the same people who go on and on about personal responsibility. I have only seen one person say that they are angry because someone posted it and they were dumb enough to look. Everyone else is just angry because someone was inconsiderate enough to post it.
Apropriately labeled titles (i.e. spoiler alert) should remain IMO. otherwise I suport it.
Whatever happened to outing all the trolls? It'd be funny. And not like Olympic spoiler funny. I really want to know who Squawman is.
The anger is justified because the thread in question was done intentionaly to piss people off and ruin it for everyone. It's one thing if someone fucks up once and quickly appoligizes for it, it's another for an alias to post results in the thread title and then stand behind a BS censorship defense as to why he won't delete it.Quote:
