Max, good to hear you're OK and able to post here so soon. Heal up quick man!
Great to hear a upbeat post from you. Man, be careful, do the PT, and then rip it up next year.
Great attitude.
Seen it before as skiing stoke but now also as... well also stoke. But more of a general "I'm stoked to be alive and in kicking form soon".
Good one on ya.

well you must have landed alright or else you'd probably be dead. it's a good thing that your'e ok considering your condition. Hang in there, geat that educatioin there at college and then use that intelligence in the mountains, because as you now know the mountains will kick your ass if you are not on top of your game.
Wow. Max, really glad to hear you're doing okay. I'm sure you'll mend up in no time!
Way to be Max. Having to rehab from an injury myself, I can see you have overcome the biggest obstacle, which is having the right attitude. Glad to hear that your mind is in the right place.
Glad to hear the good news, Max. Let's make sure to get together when you get back to Colorado...
Glad to hear you're ok and still as ski-crazy as ever. Way to stay ++++
:yourock:
Nice Max, glad to hear that you're doing okay. If you're still gonna be in the brace when school starts then you need to come up with a WAY better story than "I fell in the park at Breck."
Sounds like you got the right attitude max, heal up fast.
Wow, I haven't been here in a few days and just saw this. So unfortunate Max... but damn, glad it wasn't worse. Good to hear you're feeling better. Let the physical therapist kick your ass when you get back and you'll be better in no time. ;)
Thanks for the report. A relief to hear it from you that you are going to recover.
The next TR is for you buddy. Heal up, get strong, come back stronger.
Glad your feeling better. Hopefully the halo and back brace come off quickly and you can get rid of the walker relatively soon. ;)

Nice bounce, Max. Sounds like your attitude is hitting the accelerator on recovery--glad to hear you're doing okay and feeling lucky.
It's good to hear that you're at home with your family. I hope you recover quickly.
If you do end up needing a turtle shell (back brace), I would be more than happy to lend you mine (I'm in Boulder). I compressed my L2, L3 about 4 years ago now and keep in around to remind me to make better decisions. Anyway, I was back on the hill skiing groomers about 3 months later.
Keep you positive attitude and you'll be back on skis before you know it. Maybe you can use this as an excuse to ski in South America this year:cool:
No internet on weekends, man, I am very glad to hear you are going to be ok.
Prayers sent and heal up!
Yeah man....keep up the positive attitude!
If i was you I would rage school this spring and ALL next summer (summer classes are the best, easiest, least people)...then do next fall, and then take off Spring 2007 and SKI YOUR SACK OFF....
least thats what I would do if I was you....
heal up..
stay strong max. oh yea, don't fret over the season - i'm sure you already got more quality ski days than most people on this board (me included)
First of all, thanks for the continued positive vibes.
Second of all: is there anyone here who can speak Bernhard Franz? Wonder if that is a skill I can acquire during my downtime...
And Grange, dude: the brace and halo never existed. I don't need one, according to the doc.
This summer, it is on in SA. Save me a spot, maggots.
Enough posting for Maxi now. Just lots of reading and absorbing the stoke flying around here. Hope you guys all get a super-deep Christmas/New Years dump.
I was thinking my excuse for the injury would be something related to my typical: "Well there were these three baby elephants floating in Boulder Creek struggling for their lives but they were reluctant to receive help. So I rescued the first two and the third was particularly ornery. As I dropped him on the shore, he knocked me back into the creek and I hit my head on a rock and twisted my neck, and now here I am... Want to rub it and make it better?" (Just kidding, Renee!)
See you guys around. Once the risk of falling over and destroying myself is down, I expect for there to be a Denver/Boulder get-together to keep spirits high. I have yet to try that raspberry brown ale that Summit has been telling me about, and that's something I'd like to do...
Anyway, have a great holiday, mags.
Good call! Sounds like you are going to deserve a little spring semester "time out" after this year. Heal up quick!Quote:
