right now the salzkammergut and the east looks best.
east /south of salzburg.
sadly the krippenstein won't open soon enough, but you have plenty of other areas there. www.loser.at has the most snow(~1,5m+) and offers some freeriding when they start full operation on the 3rd
edit: They have a train station right in the village of altausse, but usually you can get in every resort by bus, when there is no rain station nearby.
concernign the insbruck stations: only the glaciers have a decent cover right now and i don't think it will change drastically in the next 7days.
edit. damn you, laptopkeyboard
and a photo of altaussee:)

I'm a St.Anton fan,It's 45mins or an hour past Innsbruck on the train.Great terrain, good food,& Boatloads of smoking hot Swedish girls.
(Time to stop lurking I guess)
I moved from Finland to Innsbruck couple months ago to study in the local university.. and ski. My flat is pretty nice (and big) for a student apartment, and theres a couch which extends to a bed (dunno the right worrd for that). If you want you can stay some nights at my place. Theres a tram stop right next to the house, 7minutes with tram to train station, one or two minute(s) more to the heart of the city(15mins walk). WARNING: I'm a total gaper, weirdo, cant ski (honestly), and I own a monoski.
While searching for an apartment I stayed some nights in Jugendherberge Innsbruck/Youth hostel Innsbruck(what an original name). The place was cheap and clean but thats about it.
Cause I've just moved here I dont really know the area at all. I've been to Stubai a few times(only skied on-piste), going to check axamer lizum next saturday. Theres loads of smaller ski areas around innsbruck, namely: axamer lizum, glüngezer, nordpark, schlick 2000, mutteralm, patcherkofel and kühtai.. probably missed a couple. These arent open yet tho, some might open before 3rd dec (like lizum), but as someone already mentioned the coverage isnt great. If I remember right the weather forecast for next week didnt look too promising either. Stubai and Axamer lizum are unfortunately one of the furthest away from the city, Stubai is 1h15mins with skibus, Axamer lizum 45mins. If the weather is good at least Stubai will be pretty crowded, but I guess so will be all the resorts opened at this point.
edit: I take my words back about the weather. Its snowing, and theres more to come.
The tourist office offers all-included ski-packages at least to Stubai. Its 50euros (one day) which includes skiing equipment, ticket and the busticket. If you need to rent equipment this is probably the cheapest way to go. I chatted with some American tourists in the Stubai ski bus and they told me that you can rent outdoor equipment too, it had costed them 6e per day for the whole set (I believe it included jacket, pants and gloves. Goggles should be available too).
The old city and Innsbruck itself are worth checking out. The nightlife should be okay since theres a lot of students around, altho i havent been there that much myself.
Well, where-ever you choose to go I hope you have loads of fun :]
