Buzz from there I took a taxi up to Wrigley, checked that out on a free tour, and then wallked back downtown, I took all afternoon doing it, stopped for lunch, stopped again for a couple beers, checked shit out, talked to people. It was fun.

Been a while since I've been out there, but two words: The Blues. Find a good small club that cranks out the real deal and you'll remember your trip to Chi-town forever.
After you go to the art institute, go across the street and about a block south and get a sandwich from Fontano's.
Combo if you want hot (Italian beef but with an Italian sausage link thrown in there too), maybe a Wise Guy if you want cold cuts.
Always with the hot giardiniera peppers.
You're a block away from Jimmy's, OG dogs and Gyros. You're also close to the subway lines so you can get just about anywhere.Quote:
What’s a fun day or two foot traffic wise from the downtown Marriott area? Certainly interested in the museum offerings, food, wine and beer, great places to smoke a joint, anything else ya got.
Plenty of museums but the Art Institute is a must, but also a cubs game if they're at home. At least for a few innings, it's spring so there will probably be a rain delay during the game which will give you a chance to go drink with everyone in one of the bars across the street. And it's spring/summer so there's always some kind of music or food festival somewhere in the city.
The architecture tour by boat was pretty good. Some pretty crazy buildings in that city.
