I only briefly tried on the ZG Peak and it was at least a year ago, all I remember is that the toebox was too short and the walk mode sucked for a light boot. Micro adjust on the forefoot buckle would be nice but it does offer more adjustment than my trusty Skorpius and at least its not a boa. I will order some butterfly pads for the liners, didn't know about those.
I have a new Crux Pro for sale in GS, 27.5

I have a pair of twenty six point five new in gear swap.
Picked up a pair from Bobleisure - unfortunately won't work for my bony top of foot. Too much pressure and I don't foresee that changing even with molding a liner. The white part of the boot at the top of the forefoot puts too much pressure on it. I was hoping to get something with a little less volume than my Backland XTDs. Anyone have any suggestions? Ridge doesn't work for me, never tried Tecnica.
Ever thought about Fischer transalp pro's? Best of my recollection is that they have a higher instep
Thought about it but they seem to be cut from the same mold (not literally) as the Backland XTD.
