I’m sure to a lot of Wisconsinites it would be heaven.

I believe you would find a lot of those boat drivers have Minnesota or Illinois DLs...
from Wisconsin. You would not find me on Chain o' Lakes on Saturday
( there is a really bad boat wreck every three years to every five years )
Wisconsin has been a Top 5 drinking school for fifty years. On! Wisconsin !

When I was growing up in suburban Minneapolis the Wisco bars in Hudson used to advertise on our local radio: 5 for 1 well drinks from 3-4 pm, 4 for 1 from 4-5 pm, 3 for 1 from 5-6 pm, 2 for 1 from 6-7 pm...trying to lure us high school seniors across the state line where the drinking age was still 18. It worked. Nothing like a bunch of teenagers driving drunk.
All the Sconnies drive exactly the speed limit in every lane on the highway. I just realized it's because they're all drunk.
Driving across the Stillwater bridge drunk at bar time would be an adventure.
Do the youth still party like we did in HS around there?
Drinking age was 17 when I was in HS. Now it’s 21, so they use meth instead. I almost think they should lower the drinking age, or better yet, legalize weed. HS kids are going to party no matter what, might as well keep them safe.

Hawaii looking strong, too.
I used to have a client in Milwaukee that I had to visit every winter. The hotel had a list of tourist attractions. 8 of them... 7 were breweries, the 8th was a brewing museum. Even the Harley Davidson museum didn't make the list.
So true. We visited New Glarus brewery (again), a cheese factory and the top of capital dome this summer. My wife is from Madison, dad was a ball boy for the Packers (Don Hudson era) and met my mom in Beloit. At the inlaws’, there is porch pounder Monday’s and Old Fashion Tuesdays. Drove back with 5 cases of Spotted Cow.

For those who have not heard of Charlie Berens, here's a start:

I think the whole thing might've been written by AI. And the stats were self reported.
I'd guess Portland would be drunker, but Bend has the most breweries per capita. Same goes for Bellingham with 15 within city limits for about 95,000 people.
I can tell you this, we have a massive impaired driving problem here.
Just south of Toledo Ohio.

We’re talking drinks per capita.
Hawaii is filled with tourists. On vacation. Boozing it up.
I think that skews the demo.
Where is the carnival cruise on that map?
