when's the Evogear party supposed to be?

With Rusty gone now...we need somebody to host a pre-season, PNW mag snow-hype party @ somebody's house. Like last year - tuning, drinking, ski flick watching, etc...Chateau AD? BDog?

anybody interested?

good job on evo gear! that position looked really sweet for somebody who was into running a shop. ground up is a pretty good place to start.

yes the evo crew is very cool. squirrel 99 is buddies with bryce and ben is hands down one of the best people i have ever met. you will have a good time there. i'm sure all us seattle kids will be showing for the opening party and all through the year for shop work, mounts and hangin etc...

i think girlski may even work there :fm:

I am totally into a pre-season party/tune session. Almost made it up last season. I hung out a few nights with Rusty when he was in Bend visiting Travis last December. Tuned his Bro's for him. Good people!
As I understand it the grand opening is supposed to be on Oct 1st. When I was up there last week it seemed that would be a stretch, but I have seen places come together pretty quick before with talented folks working, which they (we) have there.
Nice to know I am moving into a community of such solid people. Looking forward to getting together with you all.

waiting, say, a week for that opening and party wouldn't break my heart...I'm out of town until the second week of Oct!!! Not that I matter, of course.

I would offer my apt for a party, however it's in Lakewood (way south for most mags), and we could probably fit about 5 people in there max, and that'd be crowded. Oh and there's no place to tune anything...yeah my whole place is about the size of Rusty's garage. not ideal party conditions.

Last year, the party was Halloween weekend. Not a bad time, really- USC has some byes coming up around that then.

Yes, an Officer's housing allowance is a little better than an enlisted Senior Airman's...

...but it beats the dorms I was living in on-base...

...however, I did get a raise friday, for my 6-year anniversary mark. Big money, w000000t!

I'd rather own 40 acres as well, but the likelihood of that happening in the Seattle area is non-existant. You've hit the nail on the head Ashton, scoober and I are completely culturally and emotionally void because of the zip code we live in.

My place is good for anything other than a tuning party. I don't have the equipment and my garage is still chock full of boxes. I still see a maggot party, just not the tuning party.

no joke, the "park" that they have been making the past few years is a total joke. Get a pipe cutter and a few lines with good flow. this two rails into one kicker shit is a poor excuse for a park.

the thing is, its almsot like he is trying to loose money. That way he can go to the forest circus and say "hey, im not making it like this, you need to let me turn this into a amusement park". zip lines, a luge and shuting the hill to the public for church groups is what he is all about.

the price hikes and added costs since he has taken over have been huge.

I'll have to see what I wind up with for digs. Not sure how an apartment will work for tuning, maybe if I have a deck or front porch. I have plenty of tools and a table. I know we could do the whole gig at mt friends place in Quilcene. Tons of room and space for camping and a bon fire. That may be a bit to far, we'll have to talk about it. Her place sits at the base of Mt. Walker and there are good trails for riding too ... could make it a weekend affair :D

Last I heard, I was partly in charge of the Evogear opening party... Got a couple DJ's lined up, and showing the new Theory-3 and Team-13 movies, afterparty at the bar next door. But I dunno, I keep hearing different things.
