Isn't that like what they did to Alex in A Clockwork Orange?

I picked up this stand up desk add on from amazon about a yr ago - it's pretty basic but i have been happy with the option to stand or sit (i also got a high stool for when i wanted to sit)
It's not fancy but works and the price was right

My co worker has the vario-desk but it doesn't leave much space for writing if you have to do that occasionally.
All great advice. Good desks. Shit, you can even work on your plantar fasciitis while working......

I had serious back and neck problems the last few yrs.
I ditched my iPad first. they say peering down is like putting 20lbs or something on your neck.
I then ditched my office chair on wheels. Total instability.
I then raised my desk about 3 inches. If you are over 6 feet the world is too short for you.
I added 2 Capita brackets from Ikea to my desk for monitors to be eye-level while sitting. Cheap and easy DIY, and it adds a lot of space under (I mounted them about 10" from the back edge so they don't hang over the back of my desk.)

An expensive chair helps too, I don't feel the need to stand with my set-up.
I own this one: http://m.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/spr/49084965/
Cheaper standing desk than most. Was obnoxious guy at TGR standing in room surrounded by normal chairs but this comboed with a pile of books or a box about 10" above desk surface has saved me a ton of pain. Tend to alternate betweeen standing and sitting a couple times a dau
Since this is bumped by a bot…
I got a standup desk a couple yrs ago
Against my own recco above for Herman Miller, I went with Uplift. All sorts of configurations available.

Y, it’s spendy, but having a powered unit with memory settings means that i actually use it to change positions during the day. Def recommended.
And I use a riser to get my monitor up off the desk itself. As a taller body, that works better than using a keyboard tray.
I got one of these https://www.amazon.ca/VIVO-Workstati...dp/B071KGDGNK/
I have a super small space so got my own desktop from ikea for $20 or so just to make sure it all fit. Don't use the stand up much buts easy to use, programmable and really good when i feel its necessary.
I got one of these to use as my desk

Added a cable management shelf on the back and it’s a great setup for cheap-ish
Glad you’ve got a solution
