I was skiing with a guy who did and it was not pretty , the guy who's poles he grabbed was pissed at him loudly outs buddy at the apres ski,
that weeks band was pretty good they had a good singer/ good lead player, it was the 80's so the band breaks into a pretty good version of Man-Eater by Hall n Oates except the lead singer changes the words to " pole stealer " funny
My wife's poles got took by accident a few years ago. A similar looking pair was sitting right there so she grabbed them and went skiing. She still has them and ever since then she proudly refers to them as the poles she "stole."
