Amazing trip to the wild lands!
Stoked for you guys!
rog
This trip = the definition of epic, stellar effort and great write up guys!
Great TR!! Glad you guys had a fun trip!
I cannot say enought great things about this crew. Just an amazing group of characters that all shared the same goal: GET SOME THRILLS AND HAVE A GREAT TIME. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. There were no egos and everyone worked together and pulled their share (literally hahaha) to make it happen.
Special shout out to ISBD, ML242, and CAT in Jan for the photos and the organizing.
I made some great friends from the trip and look forward to sharing adventures again soon.
Strong work everyone. Praise Ullr.
^^^ Moops you forgot to mention the fact that you had a ridiculous cold and the day before we went in you woke with a 104 temp. Miraculous recovery and Herculean effort. Next time please bring the mini bar, kegarator and flat screen! ;) Comeback kid award and all around "Big Toe"!

BSP FTW! Outstanding trip fellas! Now I really know what I missed - thanks for the invite Cat, want to go even more next year. Obviously a great crew as well!
Good looks!
Way to get after it, because I'll never slog a sled in the Maine woods, evah!
That is a massive effort, well done boyz.
Can't really call the 8 mile ski into the Mines cabin a slog after seeing that. Well done lads, inspiring !
haha, well i posted before reading your post but whatevs
HA HA [think simpsons kenny] It was wisdom when I was talking to the Ranger and saw his sled with a propane tank rolling aroung loose in the sled, looked like just enough space for my sled. This allowed me a casual ski down the 3.2 miles to Roaring Brook.
It sure stuck in your craw though. I laughed when I got to the Abol bridge and you jumped out of your car with the greeting "You're a fucking cunt". I never overlook a helping hand.
Thanks for cleaning all of the cars off.
I also posted a bunch of new images. on the first page.
OUTSTANDING!!!
Fuck the Pine Marten!
This is one of very few times I can truly say, I, someone out west, is jealous of skiing done back east. maybe im biased cus ME is my home state, but either way. baddd ass tr gentlemen.
There is so much win in this TR!
Totally fucking awesome.
Way to get'er done.
One of the better TRs I've seen in a long time! So awesome that the trip came together with that many people. Congrats, mags!
very impressive. you guys were far out there!
Impressive. Really, impressive.
So much goddam win I don't even know where to start. Nice work guys!!
Just want to give props to one of the original bad ass maggots, Teddy Roosevelt, for helping to preserve the awesomeness that is BSP.
Wow, there is something worth skiing in the east:fm:
Well played, sir, well played.
Sincere thanks for posting this -- like probably 99.9% of backcountry skiers in the east, I've never been to Katahdin, but have always been curious about it, and this is by the far the best trip report I've ever seen.
TOP NOTCH trip report.....awesome read and great job....jealous to say the least.....nice strong work gentleman.....
Awesome, thanks for sharing fellas!
Katahdin and Baxter State Park are dear to my heart. I've never been in the winter and am not 100% sure I'd be up for the slog to Chimney Pond, but TR's like this affirm my enjoyment of TGR. I still have fond recollections of last year's (I think) worthy TR of skiing the Chimney.
