Fritz and were talking about the roll on Wed when the snow we were standing on gave us a wooomph. We took that as a sign.

Odd place for something to slide naturally.
Wait, what? 90s is nowhere near Nitro...?
Yeah, that ridge with the trees is usually a safe bet, but getting to it without triggering something can be quite tricky (though not too dangerous). Anyway, the photo of the slide doesn't look like it was in the gully, but triggered on that rollover that you can launch?
I think he mean 90's like the year. You know, nirvana, pearl jam, Clinton, and such.
Hope you guys get a kick out of this picture (on the right). Its on the table of contents of this month's Outside Magazine. Little kicker on the west side, pretty sure Bettner and Lindahl flipped it too. Thanks to Jody Grigg for the photograph. Check out Jody's website: www.jodygrigg.com

Dear rocket scientists: SE Russell is also avalanche terrain ;)
Little first hand recap from this afternoon...

Nice of them to help compact the waterfall lz for later this season.
How do you head out to ice climb that area and cross that apron and not have beacons or equipment?
Looks like 2-4" fell on Berthoud last night, and maybe another few inches tonight according to CAIC?
What's good tomorrow, recommendations?
Floral delivered today. I'd check it out if your going up.
Yet again, HHA delivers the goods. Goddamn good day.
Too bad about Floral, thought about dropping in but just kept lapping HHA instead. Good to know.
Good stuff today. It had been a while since i got 1st tracks down the 90s
Floral was really, really good in the morning. Never crossed a track.
Very few tracks in the 90's today. How's the snowpack in that area? Was awful last time I checked it out - overall thin and slides galore.
How's the coverage? Hit much? Looked thinnish down low.
Had a good afternoon session today in current creek.
Super fluffy yesterday. It's nice to watch the snow gradually pile up day by day. Here's some late afternoon stoke from the north side:

I can't wait for the holidays to be over. Pretty shitshowesque about midday yesterday. A lot of close calls on the road from the combination of gapers gaping, skiers crossing the road, and pissed off rednecks trying to get to after-Christmas sales at Bass Pro in Denver.
Oh btw, I lost my skins on Aqueduct on Christmas Day, black BD mohair skins, cut for a 188 DPS Wailer 105s ... anybody find them, beers on me!
Damn it was good today. Super deep in spots after these two storms.
