I don't always like to shake hands.....I have either just taken a piss, or I suspect the guy who extends his hand at me has just taken a piss.... The fist bump covers my fears, and still gives, and gets, respect.

as I tell my 7 year old, you don't have to shake hands to get or give respect - eye contact and a proper greeting are enough for me - a high five or a fist bump is just silly

Had a group of super jock college chicks near us at the beach last week playing all kinds of beach games. They took bumping to another level, non stop fist bumps then they threw in a few jumping belly bumps for good measure, the kids were amazed by it.
