yeah, reasonable people always revert to sbaf. way to stretch yourself there, pal.

I wasn't hating. I just didn't realize you weren't sophisticated enough to separate the genuine moments in the video with the product that paid to assemble them - thereby preventing you from enjoying it.
I mean shit it was all I could do to not rush out and buy myself a coke after watching it :fmicon:
The edits are way too fast and you can't really digest every moment.
Still cool, lame that it is corporate though.
WTF, did everyone besides me and warthogger miss those fantastic titties?
I'm having another coke right now (seriously, it is true this time)
i'm sorry i'm not sophisticated enough to enjoy your taste in ads. as soon as i know it's an ad, my eyes roll up into my empty skull and i wonder about all the things captured by the cameras that we didn't see. unfortunately, i'm not sophisticated enough to enjoy that either.
Fuck Coke.
100% with Spook on this.
In my eyes, this is the same as if Haliburton or Marlboro made this targeted-at-the-easily-manipulated-sheeple-shit.
"Ahh, look at all the great moments our overhead drones captured before launching a missile in to that neighborhood playground full of kids!"
With Spook.
I'm mostly with Team Spook on this one.
But for those that got a warm fuzzy out of it, fine. I'm not going to try to convince you you're a sap.
Funny. Maybe because I'm in the Market Research/Advertising space I find it cooler than you all. Personally, it could have been for bumfuck momandpop down the street. It does nothing for me to make me want to go out and buy a coke. If this shit does that to you well maybe you are all the one with the problems.
I simply thought there were some cool moments in the video.
You people really are sad individuals. If I downloaded the video, cut off the coke logo at the end and put a "the world can be an awesome place" or some other stupid slate and reposted that, most of your would change your tune. But it's all, "OMGFGWTFBBQ, YOU POSTED A COKE VIDEO? WHY NOT MCDONALDS FATTY. QUIT TRYING TO BRAINWASH ME WITH YOUR ADVERTISMENTZ! DAMN THE MAN! MNC SUCK!!!"
TGR is brainwashing me with gigantic beautiful tatas. It is working. I want to buy a t-shirt stuffed with titties. Unfortunately, the offer already ended, until the next one.
Or maybe you should stop thinking this evil world and corporate america is out to get you, take your head out of your ass and read between the lines of why I posted it. But no, that would be too difficult for most of the idiots here.
My company does do market research for Coke, USA. This was from Coke, Latin America. Not really the same company.
But I saw it on Adweek if you were implying something nefarious. http://www.adweek.com/news/advertisi...ca-cola-141126
So what was French for frog again?
advres, don't make an argument out of this. you seem intent on not quite getting the comments in this thread.
among many other things, my career has included managing creative teams developing ad content. that doesn't mean i'm uniquely qualified to 'understand' or 'parse' ads like this one, as you've implied about yourself.
it's not worth arguing about. some people are bugged by the fact that a) coke drinking footage was spliced in at the end, which looked cheesy b) all footage was supposedly from spycams. some people aren't bugged by that. fine.
let's not turn TGR into a place where we argue if green is a better color than purple.
Of course. Duh. Coca Cola has acknowledged that some of the scenes were staged. See Coke Ad Made of Security Cam Footage Goes Viral; Is It Real?
Interpretation: It's staged crap but, hey, aint it cool that Big Brother surveillance cameras and Coca Cola bring all of us together as brothers and sisters? :fm:Quote:
Update: A Coke rep tells us that while many of the clips in the ad are real, “there are a few clips that, while the situation is real, we had to recreate for the ad because it was impossible to find and secure permissions from all the people recorded on the cameras.”
For those who fell for this obvious emotional manipulation, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuromarketing
I like it when my green, has some purple!

OMG ONOZ!!! Thye reshot situations that were real, caught on camera but due to licensing they couldn't put them on air. What fucking bastards bringing us these moments we wouldn't otherwise see.
What a bunch of bitches here.
does this mean you have never had a genuine emotion from an ad? What about ads in ski and bike magazines for example - when you see Sage or someone dropping something sick do you then notice it's an ad for Salomon backcountry boots or Crank Brothers pedals and say "Awwww Fuck This Shit! That picture sucked. I bet they even had to do multiple takes to get the shot"
or sports for that matter. or TV shows. all sponsored. ski porn. all sponsored.
deutsch bag, do I have to adjust my opinions and enjoyment of life by being sympathetic to the "sheep" you speak of? Oh no, who will look out for the easily manipulated! Won't somebody think of the idiots?
edit: just trying to keep the debate going without being a prick. I haven't had anything to eat or any coffee yet today so keep that in mind.
That's not the point. Whether or not somebody takes the bait on that emotionally manipulative ad is hardly a litmus test for whether one has "a soul." That's just fucking stupid.
