Fuck those things. Been fighting for two months after a tenant left. Pest guy says the eggs are in the walls, electrical outlet, fridge coils etc. and they will keep hatching.

Fortunately when they show up they are dead or on their back twitching.

This video reminds me of an incident at a worksite in 2002. We were remodeling a couple of houses on a property and this clown doing some excavation work had a terrier and unknown to us left it in the place we weren't currently working on. When we started that project we discovered that the fucking dog had spent its time tearing 20+ holes into the walls trying to get mice.

Wetlands next to us are getting worked up into new lots. I know it’s NIMBY of me and I am total hypocrite, but we shouldn’t keep building on wetlands. Anyway, two rats and one mole so far have been trapped in the yard. Yard is like a war zone, going to have a lot of spring cleaning.

I don’t think this is NIMBY at all. Depends a bit on your local ecosystem, but most wetlands are keystone or anchor ecosystems and should be preserved. Putting low density housing in place of them is poor form IMO.

Depending on the state you live in there should be fairly significant protections requiring either on or off site mitigation depending upon the wetland classification. Where do you live?
