PNW: Local Skiers Hit It Big

I love how this has gone from a thread about ripper skier chicks to which male board member's line was more gnar...Fucking typical boys... :mad:

Back to the original point of this thread...I think that women in the ski industry have to strive to get beyond being a hot girl who can ski. I can't say that the spreads in Freeskier of the hottest 11 women in freesking are doing any woman any favors. Women like Hilary, Ingrid, Kristin, Kit DesLeirs, Wendy Fisher...they are all remarkably strong skiers who have truly earned the reputation of chicks who rip and they haven't posed nude to do so. What is even better, being a rockstar in the skiing industry doesn't equate to fame and fortune or even recognition outside of the industry. For the Seattle Times to be running a story about these women is even cooler. It is starting to become mainstream knowledge that women are killing it in adventure sports.

I couldn't agree more but I have to say...this is an interesting comment coming from someone who had her breast signed (and posted a pic of it) and sold her sister to the guys on the board by talking about what a big rack she has. Whatever...it's all good....and....to each his/her own.

I think maybe you need to re-read the thread.

I don't see much about board members' lines, unless you count my 3K step-up/10-stager line, which is far too rad to debate.

Seems more like a theoretical debate about ski mountaineering gnarality than spewing.

Hey-o. I'm the one trying to argue that the ripping skier chick is actually more than just that: she's an accomplished mountaineer of any gender.

cj is the one trying to argue that some random dudes touring in the Cascades should be considered just as highly because the Cascades are steep.

Keep the arguments straight!

Stupid arguments like I wasted space on this thread with don't encourage more chicks to hang out here, and are part of what drive chicks away from dude sports - we spend our time arguing like stupid aholes. Oh well. At least it was skiing related.

About the pics... yeah... I'm not posting anything until we have a season to post about. I haven't gotten in a turn since July 4 or 5, and that just sucks. :cussing:
