GO SOX!!!!!
well, mispelling "intelligent" is pretty ironical.
and anxious, during the Curse of the Bambino special on HBO, they hit upon the racial aspect of the red sox. the red sox were the last major league team (at the time) to have a black player after holding out for quite some time.
also, the reason you don't see black people at the game is b/c of fenway being historically anti-minority with sox fans and boston police enforcing what they think sox fans should look like. times have changed, yet nothing's changed.
since xanax is a made-up word I vote you can spell it however you want.Quote:

yeah, for sure. last time i was at fenway there were no black people there as far as I could see. but, you know, sometimes it's hard to see out of those little holes i cut in my white sheets.Quote:

You keep Damon in center--he has tremendous range and gets great jumps and has been in the field there the whole year. You sub Pokey for bellhorn as soon as the game gets close late in the game, and you sub mirabelli as soon as wakefield enters the game unless he is starting. I am a catcher and I can tell you that if you are going from the norm major league pitcher (ie. fastball, change, curve, slider) and then go to a knuckleballer, you are going to be screwed. Check that last inning (?) wake pitched and tek gave up three passed balls. Wake's knuckle was sick last night and it just shows how hard it is to catch. Put someone behind there who has experience with it.Quote:

Oh, and about the W.A.S.P. poplulation in fenway. Have you looked at the ticket prices lately?
Serious redemption for Otrtiz after that call at 2nd. Unbelievable theater.
like that check-triple-axel-lindy-loop swing?Quote:

Like all these other dudes are putting everything into it with these huge wind-ups and ridiculous follow-throughs and then here comes this dude who looks like he's just tossin' em in there. Wierd.
But what do I know.
SaAaH (and thought it was hilarious that Ortiz would run and then try to make a case that he was safe - until I saw the replay (looked good to me)),

Watch your step, Tuffy. The "biggest douchebag-yankee-fan within earshot" sobriquet is mine. You'll have to aspire to something else.
That's because he doesn't have one. Otherwise, why would the Dodgers trade one of the league leaders in stolen bases. Because he just doesn't get on all that often. Now don't get me wrong, Roberts isn't a chump. But his average isn't what it should be for someone at or near the top of the order. He's only hitting .254 this year.Quote:

Even if he is slumping, Tito sticks to his guns, he’s shown us this time and time again.Quote:

Dave's job is to get the pinch runs, as he has done so well. would you also advise not playing Manny because he's not driving in runs? I agree that Damon and Manny need to step up, and if they do, we will be in good shape.
taking shots at my spelling is pretty hard, I know guys. nice work, I’m sure there are plenty of them here to pick out so you don't have to talk about actual baseball.
dude, he's on the west coast. we can't hear him. you're safe for now. keep it up.Quote:

It's not going to matter what happens with the offense if Schilling can't get his job done.
Given that, though... Gonna be another good game.
What did you guys think about Arroyo only pitching one inning? I thought he might stay in a few.
Two more.
I thought Brandon looked pretty sharp, especially in contrast with the other day. I dunno, maybe Tito took him out because he might need him today if Schil can't get it done.
who usually catches Wakefield? i almost thought the yanks were gonna win the series on a pass ball.
Mirabelli is Wake-O's everyday catcher in the regular season. 'Tek catches his when he starts in the playoffs. Has Dougie seen the field yet this postseason? I can't remember.Quote:

1 game, 1 at bat. Not much. It seems pretty obvious that if you're going to bring Wakefield in you need Mirabelli. Varitek simply can not catch that shit. And it's not like his stats are much different than Tek's are. Hell he's got 9 dingers in 160 at bats vs. 18 for Tek in over 460.Quote:

Tek's vs. Mirabelli's stats may not be much different, but from a manager's point of view, you need Tek in the game in a clutch situation. As a team leader he's crucial to have in the game in the later innings.
