So crisp and so clean.
Yep. That's pretty much it. If I like it, I share it. Many photogs would argue against it, but the greater majority of pubs out there (ski pubs included) are pretty indifferent to imagery being shared on the web. There are exceptions here and there, and so I do make exceptions for a few images as well, but I pretty much get my best stuff out where people can see it.
From a creative/stoke perspective, I enjoy sharing what I shoot. I like people to see it. They get stoked, I might get stoke and/or feedback and I like putting it out there. Additionally, it's good for the athletes. People should see what they do. They work hard for the lens, and it does them no good if the images sit on my hard drive.
From a business perspective, it just makes sense. I want people seeing my best stuff all the time. Timeliness is relevant, and I want people checking out my blog, website, FB, etc. all the time. The (few) cons of posting stuff now far outweigh the (largely unaffected) pros of holding stuff back. How many people on here would know if I was posting my b-roll or not? Probably not too many. Next thing you know, most consider me a b-roll shooter cause that's what they see.
I know most ski photogs don't subscribe to this theory, so maybe it will come back to bite me. Guess we'll find out...
First day? Whacha been doing dad? fishin?;)
Kiliing it right out of the box.
"It's always more fun to share with everyone" - Jack Johnson
I always click on your threads, but rarely comment. Just want to say that your philosophy on sharing embodies the stoke of skiing as much as the photos. Any magazine that has a problem with that isn't one I want to read.
Also, this shot

is fucking unreal. I'd grab a poster of it in a heartbeat. Thanks.
graciasmang. awesome photos per usual.
That B&W JC shot that others want as a poster is my favorite as well.
Oh
my
FREAKING AWESOME STUFF! :)
Most excellent
awesome, gonna head over to Splat's thread and toss a nomination for Mag of the year at ya, if it were broken down into catagories, your pics would sweep photo stoke! thanks.
Adam - seeing a set like this is so inspiring
this is the type of stuff that needs to be seen by as many people as possible so the rest of the world (non-maggot contingent) can understand how amazing it really is and the pure beauty of the sport. Does anyone else not think it would be cool to walk into the MET or some other large museum and see a ski photography section as an exhibit on display? Just a collection of one or a handful of artists best shots? I personally think it would be unreal.
Sickness!
Stoke Bump!
Superb AB. Somebody has to ask tho. If that's in your top three ski images...what do the other two look like!?!?!?!?!?!?:)
Bump again because grizzle is my favorite photog. Incredible stoke!
this is great.
i really do appreciate seeing your photos online before in the magazine. seeing good quality ski photography is something i have so much respect for, but hardly have the chance to give thanks for.
so thank you very much.
and i think that only in utah can you get face shots with rockered skis.
I guess you were on your way to a picnic when we saw you; your basket was obviously full. Let's hope we get to heckle you quite often this year on your way to work. Way to go dude, really love the images you always seem to capture so perfectly.
Thanks for sharing such incredible ART. Inspiring, seriously inspiring.
Jesus man, sick shots!!!
I have a semi expensive slr and a pricey lens and I haven't produced anything near that badass. Obv it takes practice and know how. And you seem to know how ;)
Inspiring!
Very crisp.
