the good news is that if you plan on keeping the skis and not selling them, the extra holes shouldn't make a lick of difference.

1. You expected to find a "professional" ski tech in Mechanicsfuckingburg Pennsylvania? Here's a hint: ski tuners tend to like skiing, hence they will be found in or around ski resorts.
2. Since the going rate for a mount at high-end resort shops is about $45, it seems a little more likely that the $80 was for a mount and tune.
3. You chose the shop, agreed to the price, agreed to the discount (which was probably a 100% refund for the mount), shook them down for insoles, and you're now you're bitching on the internet.
Claim Denied.
1. Yeah, dumbass. Living in a ski town automatically makes you the best tech in the world. Like, I can never remember co-workers fucking up customer's skiis and covering it up. That never happens. Not in the mountains. The altitude makes everybody a fucking infallible genius.
2. Yeah, dipshit. I mean -it's standard practice to tune a brand new pair of skiis. Especially soft snow specific skiis. Every good tech knows that if you don't absolutely nail the structure and edge bevels they're gonna be pretty much unskiable in powder.
3. You chose the faggy alias and now you're slamming some dude on the internet.
Life Denied.
you're so smart, thanks for telling me what i didn't know.
nevermind that there's only two ski shops in the practical vicinity here, both which charge the same price for a mount. nevermind that the receipt read that the charge was for just "one ski" and nevermind that they specifically stated that the mount was 75+tax WITHOUT a freakin tune originally...not that i remember ever bitching about the original price to begin with.
and oh btw it took them over a week and a half to have them finished even though i was told up front it would take no longer than 3-4 days...which resulted in a wasted drive out there when i was first told by an employee over the phone that they would "definately" be ready during that time with no return phone call to indicate otherwise.
so all things considered i dont think "shaking them down" for a footbed that they get retail stock at under $15 is cutting into their profit margin, especially when you consider that they probably saved a bundle not bothering to train any of their employees...
so if i got it right, you're telling me i should've expected them to a) suck and b) tune brand new skis?
why didn't i think of that?

Umm, irony? Scared of some competition troll boy?
Asianguy, you got fucked--but you're the one that bent over, lubed up, and asked for it. But feel free to tell the whole world about it, cause that is some fascinating shit.

Warranty Dept=psyops assassin
Leave, bitch.
I never paid more than 25$ either but I think that was 5 years ago ... last I checked around here its 45$
5 years ago I was making alot of $ so paying 25$ was OK ,altho I always did my own tele-mounts cuz all the local shop were into alpine and didnt even know where to mount a tele binding
5 years later and I'm bumming ... for 45$ I will freehand it myself
i might have missed it, but I don't see any info on how much distance between mount hole and bad hole?
from their site it says they carry volkl skis...soooo why couldnt you go in and ask for a new pair of Got's
Warranty Dept=douchebag cumstain
Yea I dont know if you have much to complain on now that you opted for the footbeds. I mean shoot you could go back and have them replace your ski but you dont have much to fall back on. They probably will refund ya and sell the ski at cost. In that case you should buy the skis at cost and sell to some mags on here! I would talk to the owner and explain the situation and say what you would like done about it. Don't go in pissed off just lookin to raise hell. Then they will just think your tryin to look for trouble. Good Luck man and really I would go back and speak with the owner. As for $80 on the mount! Shit your payin them to play with power tools buy a bag of green and a 30-bomb! Even then the shop is still makin money.
Hate to say it, but boot center is money for the goats. I'm assuming you got them as a powder board right? So I guess the plus side is that if you dont like the +1 mount, you can always go back to boot center since there are already predrilled holes you can re-use. I have mine at boot center & more tip means better float (aka no tip dive) & better stability.
well i'm 5'7/150lb/lvl9, was actually hoping to use it as my everyday pair but i guess its a positive that i only need to drill the one ski incase i change my mind :p
in any event i went from using 160-somethin fischer WCs at JH so tip dive comparisons should be day and night
Fuck the footbeds! Receiving them doesn't preclude you from fair compensation. That's laughable.
You got screwed on price and they screwed up your skis. Go back and say, "Look, you guys fucked up and you need to make good. You gave me some footbeds but this is a joke. You were hoping I didn't know better. But I've thought about it and you and I both know you need to replace my skis, ASAP. Now get on it, bitch!"
Maybe leave out the last part.
Amen to cliff huckable and his reasoning! Do that and your golden. Or just go in there and grab another pair of high end skis you see that you like and say you want those mounted up right this time. At this point pick up their very best ski and say "I want these!" Fair trade right?:the_finge
fuck i spell so bad I need "proofread" not spell check. Thats a good example of what Long term drug use can do. be carefully reading phonetic spelling can result in spontaneous cerebral aneurysm, in the anally retentive. now I'm calling the Samaritans.
the point was man up and confront them and get your skies replaced.
