Not much I can do to cut my driving/consumption. Start times at work are 6-6:30 AM and bus service to even the closer jobs I might work is ridiculously inconvenient.
I'm still driving an '88 Corolla that gets 30+ combined and ~38 freeway. No one I know who skis lives near me or even on my route to the hills. My folks live 160 miles away and I only go over to visit them a few times a year as it is. There's just not much I can cut.
I wish the car companies would hurry the fuck up and get hydrogen fuel cell vehicles into mass production. Also, they need to start building little cars like my Corolla and the Honda CRX again. Funny how a 20 year old car with a carburetor gets better mileage than the same model today.
save gas
fart in a jar
Did you see all those dateline NBC crashtests where they ram cars into concrete walls? That's why. In order to pass those crash tests and get the 4-5 star ratings it takes extra weight/reinforcement to make those cars stronger.Quote:

I have a 1987 Dodge Raider (same as Mitsubishi Montero), I defy anyone to find a true 4x4 vehicle that gets better mileage on the market today.
its a good time to be in the metals, rare coins and jewelry market.
I cut back on my gas use by not working.
In other news manufacturing is off for the first time in many months as well...buckle yer belts tighter, kiddies.
I'm going to get a third sugar mama girlfriend to help subsidize my food costs.
I just put a throttle body spacer, cone filter and highflow exhaust on my Jeep. Thinking about dropping a supercharger on if it would work.
shorting stocks is fun. It will also help me buy more gas. Ideally, one day it will allow me to live slopeside, never needing gas again to get tot he mopuntain. But thats just a dream for now.
time to hitchhike.
There was a legit break of $100 today.
