The 18 watt is actually inexpensive in can compared to the others from Singlecut. Think We sell it for $13.50, while most others are approaching $20 after tax and deposits.
I really like space in between for a nice summer ale, truly is hard to define.

Drink Date: 6/3/19 (I had a coupla cans prior to this, but this is the most recent I've drunk it).
Nice, piney mouthfeel coupled with a really heavy juicy swirl (but not fruity juicy, mind you, more of a really wet feel in the mouth, like when you eat something that gets your saliva really gushing; this is a "clear" West Coast-styled IPA, btw), and a nice, even bitter finish.
I have really enjoyed every IPA I've had from The Hop Concept (this is my 3rd or 4th I've managed to get my hands on in the past year).

Swinter West Coast IPA

There are 3 breweries in Mammoth and this is the best of the lot, by far.
This is only the second time I've visited the nano brewery, but both times their beers have delivered nicely.
The brewery/taproom is hella small and tucked away in a strip mall (mountain town strip malls, btw, are way cooler than regular city strip malls, fwiw).
Super smooth and dank with a mild juicy forward and just the right amount of bitter on the back.

Another solid IPA from this Mammoth based nano brewery. Very grapefruity in terms of aroma and upfront mouth feel, accompanied by a nice, smooth bitter finish.

Had this on tap at Sushi Rei in Mammoth Village over the weekend after a stellar day of spring skiing. Mellow and well-rounded and nicely complimented the sake, hamachi, maguro nigiri, tako handroll, and poke tostadas I consumed.

Tried the Ninkasi Brut IPA last night. Good beer. First I have tried that is called Brut. Nothing special about it but I did notice that it is less sweet so I liked that considering we are having a heat wave here.

Nice, mellow, and super clean "West Coast-styled" IPA with a golden brown hue and an even bitterness from start to finish. I know it's trite to call a beer "refreshing", but after a 5+ hour tour--complete with skiing--of Red Lake Peak off of Carson Pass. it was mighty damn tasty during the apres.
This is only the second beer I've had from Shoe Tree, the other being their collab with Revision (Sparks, NV) called Disco Ninja, which is a go-to hazy for me, but so far they are 2-for-2 in my book.

The only thing I found intriguing was Blind Pig being at the #1 spot, as it was one of my earliest and favoritist IPAs back in the day, but I have not had it in years. Interestingly enough, after glancing at the article and posting it here I found a stash of relatively freshly minted Blind Pig bottles at the local health food store here in Truckee. Picked up a bottle, but have yet to crack it open to see if it's still as tasty as I remember...

I've been pretty thankful for Hi-Li :smile: every time I have to go to FL. The just started distributing Cigar City in NH, so my son bought me a sixer for fathers day thinking I had never had it. It's a decent beer. Most on the list that I've had are all decent, but they don't really compare to the local NE stuff. There's a little brewery in Santa Cruz called Humble Sea that is absolutely killing it. Every beer has been awesome. I have to believe there is a bunch of little guys popping up all over the place doing the same these days.Quote:
