I made it up yesterday for about 5 laps and had a legit fun time. Still downloaded Griz, bc I don't think I really need to see paradise until next season. Think I might actually take the MTB out today...

bye till next year, lil ski hill.
Thanks for sharing the snowbowl pictures this season Norseman! As a former snowbowl skier from my time at UM I really enjoy looking at them.
Welp, now that I'm done driving the Bowl road, it feels like an apt time to schedule a front end alignment. Anyone else, or is it just me? Good job everyone who made the most out of this season.
I hope everyone is OK in the Missoula area. Post up if you need help with anything or with cleanup.
We lost a decent section of ridge cap shingles. My neighbor lost a good section of siding. From photos around the city, it might be a while without power.
80mph wind at the airport, 109 on Mt Sentinel. Reminded me of the Midwest storms (minus the tornado sirens).https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...1febf0c888.jpg
Holy shits, vibes to Missoula maggots effected by this. I lived there for 20+ years and never experienced anything like that.

Big ol damage out there.
Got up at 4am and biked all over very dark town. Strange experience. Lots of big trees down and debris everywhere.

Wow...that sucks.
Mullan Road was closed overnight (west of the golf course). It opened near 7am and I drove out to get the rv for a generator. I lost count of the number of power poles down. But I'd say close to 50% from the course to the old pulp mill. The first half dozen had been across the road and you could see that crews just chainsawed the poles and moved the lines towards the ditch. This confirms the story I had heard of people being trapped on Mullan in their vehicles.
My car got squashed right after I paid it off. I'm so bummed. It might be totalled. It's still under the piece of tree because it's all kinds of fucked up. Everything keeps costing me more money and I keep making less. Was looking forward to not having a (small) car payment and still having a good, reliable vehicle.
Also STAY OUT OF THE RIVER. Power lines.
Fuuuuuuuck.
I have the worst fucking luck with cars, I swear. Doesn't even have 90k on it yet!Attachment 497000Attachment 497001Attachment 497002
Also taking referrals for professional tree people. Insurance will reimburse me. I picked up a rental today. Full coverage. So I got that goin for me.
Well that sucks....
Right when it finally got nice enough to ride again too. Guess I'm biking my out of shape ass to the trailhead.
Seriously: Milltown to Kona Bridge is closed due to dangerous debris in the river. Eg power lines. Poached tubers, anyone? Served in a broth of bum piss and runoff. Soon to be Michelin rated.
Fuck my life.
I need this tree removed
I have no idea how organized this is, but it came across my feed. It would be worth sending in a help request with a photo of your car. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0b85735f91.jpg
The debris drop sites are kinda crazy

Thanks. IDK if I'd feel comfortable asking someone to do this for free. It seems kinda dangerous to people, and definitely property. I have some names to call on Monday morning starting with, I kinda just realized, my landlord company. It's on the property they manage. Maybe I can get them to take care of it.
I don't have a saw, but post up here for help to move limbs around.
Same for other mags in Missoula. I just got power back at 8pm Fri, so I'm now free to help out.
