6S is supposed to be mid-sept. I bet they blow out the 5's at that time. I'd hold a little bit to see what shakes out.

S6 is already out.
Just waiting for 5's to go on sale again.
What do you guys think of the new Moto X due out in September. http://www.gottabemobile.com/2015/07...ate-breakdown/
The Moto X Play costs £299 and has a 5.5in 1080p screen, two-day battery life and a new 21-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front with a flash.
Hayes says: “We’ve tried to concentrate on the pain points of smartphone customers: battery life, camera and price.”
The Moto X Play will be available in August. Motorola also has a larger 5.7in version called the Moto X Style, which has a high screen-to-body ratio making the overall device size relatively small for the size of screen.
From that article ... this was the most interesting thing I saw.

Carriers
Apparently none. From what we understand Motorola doesn’t want to deal with them, and the Pure Edition will work with all US carriers and have no bloatware. This allows for a smoother and fast update process without carrier approval, no bloatware and apps taking up storage, and more. We’re not sure how easy it will be to get Verizon or Sprint to let us activate the device on their networks, and some carriers could offer it, but from what we’re reading Motorola looks to sell this completely without the help of US carriers.

Fuck my carrier. I feel raped every time I pay my bill. No contract and unlimited carrier options kicks ass. It's leverage. I love this.
I still have my first gen Moto X and it's every bit as great a phone today as it was 2 years ago. I wouldn't hesitate to get another and may just do that when my contract is up in a couple of months. I'll sell my phone and use the money to buy a new X or maybe just a G (which is supposed to be the best deal among non-contract phones at $200).
That's a cool idea Motorola is going with.
They seem to have dropped water resistance from their phones and their cameras turn everything blue.
I'm surprised your moto x is still running so well. Not a huge fan of this Razr HD. Another annoying thing is that after a new OS version comes out, all your apps get updated to work better with the new one, then another few updates later they fix what they broke for everyone who is still on the old OS, only sorta. Stuff has just been running slow on my phone. Even the stock text app. Yes, I use a cache cleaner.
The jack not being very snug is another sweet feature. I had to actually warranty my phone because of it. The refurb was has a kinda grey pallor to the screen.
God Forfuckingbid Verizon should get an S5 mini.
I mean, why would anyone want a kick ass phone that also actually fix in your pocket and is easy to use with 1 hand.
Big news Verizon is dropping subsidized phones and going the no contract route. Aug 13 drop date I read.
I just upgraded from an iPhone 4 to a 6, on verizon, no contract upgrade. The total was an extra $6.24 a month for 24 months, not a bad deal really... It is completely pocket worthy and a huge upgrade all around. Performance and visually, it's a whole new world. Highly recommend
First gen Moto X here too. Runs fantastic and only complaint is I should've gotten one with more storage. I'd happily pickup a successor.
Fuck iPhones. I've hated mine since I got it, coming off android.
The only saving grace was that the OS seemed really clean. After having it only 3 months, it has identical glitches compared to Android but everything else is worse with iPhone in comparison.
Fuck Apple

The only thing I hate about my Android phone is the bloat ware. I downloaded a battery saver app and it keeps telling me that shit I can't uninstall is running in the background. Is rooting your phone worth it, and is there a decent ROM that you guys can recommend?
^^^ Cyanogen is the gold standard.
Rooting being worth it kind of depends on your phone and how easy it is. Lurk the XDAdevelopers forums or droidforums.net (depending on manufacturer) to get a better idea.
Thanks, man. Will look into it. It kinda freaks me out - I don't want to brick my phone.
Rooting it will allow you to uninstall bloatware without having to install a custom ROM. You may also just be able to disable it anyway.
Rooting can void your warranty. You can unroot it before you bring it in, but with the bloatware gone, someone might notice. ymmv.
iQue, the repair shop that did the initial glass replacement, took my 5S back without any questions, didn't even look up my account. They redid the glass, eliminating the new foggy issue and also fixing print scan. All works like new again.
Doing it over again I'd just go through the Apple Store, $125 for new glass w full warranty on the work. iQue is reputable as well.
I wouldn't buy the Moto "X" Play. It isn't a full X. I'd opt for Gen 3 Moto G instead. If you want a new X, wait for the Pure. They are showing their fuckery with the naming schemes. Of course Motorola/Lenovo has worse fuckery going on: http://www.slashgear.com/lenovo-resp...acle-12396812/. Thinking twice about new any new Moto now Those fuckers. My Gen 1 Moto G is pre Lenovo. However it might be circling the drain as it had a weird glitch recently. Fuck.
^^^^Well, they are advertising no bloat ware on the Pure, so that is what I am waiting for. We will see once I get it, as I can't buy it yet.
On the advice in this thread I just bought a 3rd gen Moto G. I have Metro PCS service (T Mobile network) and 4 hours in and so far so good...
