This. Sadly.
There’s a E63S from Canada with 80,000 miles on cars and bids where they still want (and will get) around $50k because people will pay that kind of Jack for an out of warranty AMG from a country covered in salt.

Good info 365wp. My buddy had one from about that generation, and I remember the slight lag in awd engagement. I’m looking for a beater/valley car, so there’s a lot of choices, but a wagon is always up there.
I never got the SUV better than a wagon in the USA. I have both and the wagon has much better visibility around it than the Cayenne. That said, the V70R is ready for a Mammoth trip this week.
Around here there's a couple massive boulders at the end of rows/entrance to this one popular upscale shopping center. I've seen SUV after SUV highcentered and/or grinding anything below their shoulder line across these rocks.
Never once have I seen a wagon or sedan have the trouble the SUVs do. All kinds of drivers too which is hilarious. Guy in the lifted superduty? Yep, didn't see that giant stone obscured below all that compensation.
Oblivious woman on her phone in her RX 350? She's gonna be stuck up on that rock all day.
I like em but 120k min. is mind bottling

The wife made me get rid of our 2013 xc70 with low miles. Should have held on to that one. The newer available wagons don’t have the same storage, utility, sight lines of the older volvos. but yeah the plastic cladding was unpleasant on the eyes
Turbo and hatchback with manual. $26k
FWD and not a "wagon"

Don't settle for an E500 when there is this perfectly acceptable E63

Nice one, Buster!
Thoughts on the CTS AWD wagon up to about 2011 or so? There seem to be a few nice, affordable ones out there that slipped under the current overpriced radar.
Good shop. They wrenched on my allroad a couple of times for me on the few things i didn’t want to do myself like timing belt on the 2.7t

Buster showing me how to love my car. Thanks for the inspiration. Curious, any of you guys ever had a car repainted? Is $5k in the ball park for that? What should I be looking or asking for? Do they just sand the car a bit or actually take it apart? If they take it apart, then I obviously need to buy new rubber around things like the windows, etc, right?
I do not have answers because I'm not much into appearance but I saw this the other day. They (cheaply and quickly) repainted a gray 2003 4R v8 green. Looks a million times better imo. We have a gray 03 V6. Got me thinking...kind of a fun video also.
