You might try armslist. You have a lot of ads in your neck of the woods and sometimes they go pretty cheap and you can haggle or trade stuff off.

I run one of these. Getting a wylde isn't really ever needed. Its a lot of upper for the money.

I run a can on it, so I like them a little longer and prefer gas systems over pistons even though I went over some piston stuff on the last page.
Be careful, those grenade mounts can be deadly/threaded barrels might be a bigger problem for you down the road.

Anyone have any insight to the Remington Model 700 Walmart sells? Saw one in there Sunday with a scope for somewhere around $400. I need to get back and verify it is actually a 700 and not a 770. If it is, I may have to buy myself an early birthday present.
Turns out it was a 770 with a 700 walmart tag hanging off it. Thought it was too good to be true, would have been about $100 below cabelas price for the same rifle.
Anyone on here a FFL? pm me or send me an email at p hall sk i at gmail
I have a few questions. Nothing illegal.
Finished up rifle cleaning from Monday range day, installed 4 new ALG triggers and my Eotech refund showed up.
Those ALG triggers are sweet, I could finger them all day.
OK, I'm either going to be getting a Tikka T3x or a Savage 11/111 depending on how the Tikka connection works out. For Utah hunting, mostly using the rifle for cow elk, but potentially LE bull/Mule deer, I'm leaning .308 as this will be my first true rifle, but am getting pulled towards 7mm mag from some other friends, and I'd have to buy a bigger truck if I went with .300win, but let me know you're opnions. I'd like to have fun shooting this rifle at the range, not just sighting it in and forgetting about
need that Saiga 12 gauge
308 is the cheapest to shoot and easy to find.
7mm will kill anything in north america, harder to find... slightly and cost more.
300's kick hard, shoot flat, cost the most and will do massive damage.
Don't over think it, just go with your first response to the following you agree with.
I'm cheap, get the 308 and shoot more.
My friends will never shut up, get the 7mm.
I have too much money, get the 300.
Or you could just get the prettiest gun they have there.
I've shot both a .300 WM T3 that is braked and has a limb saver and my T3 7 mm set up the same and it's not bad recoil either way. In the same bullet weight, you'll get more bc from the 7 but you should be shooting a heavier bullet with the .300 anyway. I got a little flinchey with my T3 7mm before putting a brake on it. It's a really light rifle for that caliber. You shouldn't have any trouble with a .308 and it's cheaper. .308s have killed a lot of elk just like the 7mm and .300 but you do get more power and a flatter shooting round out of the latter two. With a 162 gr 7mm you will have enough horsepower for anything you would be hunting in UT.
