Sold JPM and BRK.B today. They were both trades of opportunity after Brexit. I like some yield plays into the end of the year. Just like last year.
Junk has not sold off much and if yield were really in trouble it would be getting hammered.

Gold is getting crushed. I wonder what the excuse to buy is now that the gun club got their boy?
From everything I've seen Obama and HRC drove more gun sales than anyone ever. Sells and puts on gun and ammo stocks?
Spoke too soon. Junk starting to get hit.
Homework for today: google index dispersion
4m-you looking etf's? Spreads had been widening for a couple months but the carry kept HY in the game. IG corps were getting hurt as they lacked the carry.
Best trade I saw this qtr was short tips/ long BE inflation through swaps.
So if I sell all of my stocks, where do I put my money temporarily? I've held everything for so long, it'll be low tax rate, right?
I'm just working to build a mix I can forget about. I like that rates are going higher for now. A 3% ten year with a 2% economy and I can walk away.
I bought leveraged munis today with a limit order and looking to buy more before year end.
My PFF is getting crushed but it should be ok if banks do better. It's not down because of sone crisis.
I might have to sell some HY.
Long term capital gains tax rate is 15% unless you are in the highest tax bracket where it is 20%. I am old and have been through the dot com crash and the housing crisis. I sold nothing during dot com, did a little paring back of equity's in 2007 / 2008 but that was it. It worked out, you just have to be prepared to accept some bumps in the road. Even now being retired I am still over weighted stocks. The biggest change is more cash then when I was working. Individual stocks, ETF's and low cost Vanguard or Fidelity funds. Mutual Funds with high fess are a return killer.
Yeah what's with that? I figured that with the upcoming uncertainty it would at least hold steady if not gain a bit. I also expected miners to do the same. Ehh, maybe next week is a good time to toss a bit of cash in that direction. At least energy is doing better.
Dollar strength...relationship last 3 days has been perfect(ly inverse). Not sure it's much beyond that. Between trump and dec rate hike getting closer
Ps- where's bromontana...the fuck is going on in nat gas?
Natgas is busy dropping 40% due to an utter lack of winter from what I've seen. It wiped out around 5 good trades, depressing shit.
On the plus side, my Carrera is in the early stages of losing its motor. So I'm only out 24 grand or so.
Anyone have a handgun I can borrow?
That sucks. IMS-related or something else?
Zapped post where I cry
Xposted into the cars thread.
Zapped...
Its the weekend anyhow, no markets open. Moved all car talk to appropriate thread
Nikkei breaking out on the weekly and monthly chart. Dollar stronger and rates higher.
