I know this question wasn’t directed at me, but I had the same reaction to the Rustler 11. My new favorite all around ski. The tip and tail of the R11 are definitely softer than the Cochise and as a result, it doesn’t possess the same crush-ability as the Cochise. Also, the 21-ish meter radius can feel a tad hooky in heavy manky snow. That being said, they are better EVERYWHERE ELSE versus the Cochise. The R11 rails groomers, floats better in pow, and is just an easier ski to manage. Every one of my buddies who owns a Cochise now owns an R11 and skis the Rustler all the time. It is my go to ski for places like Whistler, as a reference point.
