I arrived @ 2pm, everything below bomber cliffs was nice and soft, but upper slopes and seemingly everything skiers right of chair 2 already starting to set up again.

Who skied xtal today or alpy today? I’m aiming for a Good Friday at one of em

Alpental isn't open today. Tomorrow, yes. I'll probably be up there on Friday too.
I Crustalled today.
Got there late at about 9:15, snagged a first row B lot slot. Dumping hard in the morning, snow line just below F lot. Heavy pow down low, lots lighter up top. Not too crowded, but the snow got skied.
Left at 3, B lot had been parked out halfway.
The storm blew in from the South, so the North facing zones held decent snow like skiers right on Iceberg. There wasn't enough to fix the frontside or Exterminator, Northway stashes skied well but Hamburger held the best snow. It was a whiteout in the main Throne Bowl, so the edges of Hamburger had enough contrast to see.
The Throne traverse generated a few grunts crossing the debris tongues. But my skis are still too long and all I care about is how I look.

With some wind and another couple of inches, it will be a good reset for tomorrow.
Superlative storm skiing at Mission today.

That was a great day, much better coverage that season

Anything N facing at Crystal was great today - especially in Northway and Hamburger as Buster said. Tomorrow might still be good - it was still snowing when went to the Elk at 3 and there’s a lot still untracked.
Sback was surprisingly good today . Full on d cup good . Attachment 492432

Looks tasty!
Ripped groomers today at Stevens. Coverage is still very good but even the limited sun that broke through the clouds started to beat up the snow. Started getting a little sloppy around noon. Nobody there and still lots of fun to be had.
I cannot believe they close in less than three weeks. Feels too soon.
As this PNW corn cycle draws to a close, I ratted around Crustal. It was soft and devoid of people and I managed to link up for a few laps with mofros son. Just a nice day.
Same mantra: high North facing stuff was best, some melted chalk and some corn were the choice of the day. They've given up grooming Iceberg, at least today, and the bumps in there were huDge. Other bump fields skied OK.
Weird lenticulars above Silver Queen and on Mt. Rainier.

Hey y'all, looking for a wedding venue that's woodsy/mountain adjacent next fall. Room for 100-150ish people. We've got a list of the Google-able options but wondering if the WA mags have any suggestions that might be harder to find otherwise. Please send em my way!
Skied epic pow on the northern volcano Saturday and surprisingly corny snow (brief window) in the vicinity yesterday. Bring on the next storm.
Winter or summer wedding? My wife and I got married off Exit 63 at The Cabin Creek lodge. It's about as close as it gets to Snoqualmie without being on the pass itself. If you're thinking summer, there is plenty of space for 150 people. Winter...not as much. I think we had under 100 people total and it was definitely on the tight side. Extra bonus is that there are a bunch of beds to sleep family or party members on-site during setup and teardown.
Tap into the kid's college fund but I think these people can handle a wedding that big and it is an amazing spot on a nice day. Not WA though

Richmond beach upper level has nice Olympic views. Said it is big enough for 100.
The grotto at St Edward’s state park.
I know two couples who got married at Crystal. Both gave it high marks.
Mission Ridge does off season weddings. Plenty of space for that many people. Bar, deck with fire pit.

The upper sections of Stevens skied really well yesterday. The 6” of new was just barely enough to cover the crust (in most spots) and wind loaded areas skied even better. Some surprisingly good turns off of 7th, Tye Bowl, and Big Chief Bowl areas. With hardly anyone venturing off trail, lots of good to be had.
Turned out to be a good day to test out my new Revolt 114’s and do a head-to-head with my Black Ops 118’s. Gotta love being able to ski fatties in April, especially after this funky season.
Is Sunday the 14th the last day for Stevens?
This shoulder season is brutal this year… too cold and grey in town. Not enough percip to be worth the cold. Not enough sun to be worth the lack of percip….

Head over to Mission, open weekends through the end of the month.

Finally able to log in, but not able to post pics. Maybe 2pole is using up all the bandwidth.
April has been gangbusters so far with everything from cold chalk to creamed corn, graupel squalls to sun.
Spent most of the day lounging on the Jim Jack sun deck yesterday. Booting up once in a while for perfect corn laps, drinking, eating, chatting with randos and eating mushrooms. It was like a day at the beach, paddling out every so often to catch a few waves.

Gorgeous evening to squeeze in a few after work turns. I usually wait to do this tour until May, but this year’s snowpack necessitated an earlier start. Conditions will likely be very good up high after a little more melt freeze, saw very little pollen and lots of smooth surfaces.

We are setting up for epic corn, evidence ^^^ and forecast
This weekend should be amazing. Sad I won't be able to get out there...
